Probably one of the things that I despise the most about Spring are the bumbly bees. As soon as the flowers begin to bloom, these carpenter bees are out in full force making enjoying the deck on a warm afternoon near impossible. If you’ve never had an encounter with a carpenter bee then count yourself lucky. They are rather annoying little things. They don’t bother me but the constant buzzing and fighting amongst themselves can have one on edge.
Has anyone else had a problem with Carpenter Bees? If so, what is the best way to get rid of them? (preferrably a DIY remedy)
Carpenter Bees can cause some damage to outdoor wood surfaces so besides wanting to enjoy our deck space while the weather is warm I’d also like to keep the hole damage to a minimum.
But for now, it’s just the bees and I until we find a solution.
