Spring is officially here. So this past weekend I decided to paint my nails in a bright, bold way. Something that reminded me of the warm, spring air and lazy afternoons spent soaking up the sun on the back deck.
Rummaging through my nail polish box, I picked out several colors that I thought went well together:
- Nicole by OPI in Our Fuchsia’s Lookin’ Bright
- Nicole by OPI in Ladies In The Limelight
- Pure Ice in Oh Baby!
- Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I first applied 2 coats of Nicole by OPI in Our Fuchsia’s Lookin’ Bright on all my nails except for my accent nail, my ring finger. On my accent nail I applied about 3 coats of Nicole by OPI in Ladies In The Limelight and allowed it to dry really well before continuing. I then applied 1 coat of Pure Ice in Oh Baby! on top of all of my nails to add a bit of shimmer. I then sealed my manicure with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat (love this stuff).
The end result was exactly what I was hoping for, maybe even a little better. I love the look of the Pure Ice: Oh Baby! on top of the fuchsia pink color. It adds just the right amount of sparkle without being super glittery. The overall look reminds me of the times spent sipping a frozen strawberry lemonade on a sunny, warm afternoon.
