I get so excited when I come across an awesome beauty find. Today while out running errands I decided to stop in a store that I haven’t shopped at in quite a while. One reason why I stopped in there was because I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz on beauty blogs about some products that I’ve been wanting to try that are exclusive to that store. But instead of finding what I came there to look for, I stumbled across another unexpected beauty find.

When shopping drugstore beauty products, it is SO hard to find matte shadows. I usually don’t buy a lot of shimmery or sparkly shadows as I like to keep my eye makeup on the more matte side. Some problems, however, with some matte shades is that they can be a bit chalky when it comes to drugstore brands and may not have a high pigment payoff. So when I saw these palettes and saw that they didn’t seem to have too much shimmer to them, I got a bit excited.

At just a dollar a piece, you get 12 different eyeshadow shades in each palette. With that amazing price, of course, I had to try out all 3! I’ve never heard of the brand Profusion or seen any of their eyeshadow palettes in other stores that I frequent. I’ve been in the market for a travel size eyeshadow palette for quite a while now, as I often travel with my beloved Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette but I’m always scared that the roughness of travel with eventually ruin my favorite palette. These 3 De Beaute eyeshadow palettes by ProFusion are the perfect size to fit inside my travel makeup bag. With the variety of shades that each palette gives, one can create a variety of different makeup looks so you’re not stuck to the same beauty look every single day when you are away from home.

I decided to swatch these on my arm, as you can tell I’m fairly pale, using the Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer. I never wear eyeshadow without an eyeshadow primer. Eyeshadow primer is such a must especially when it comes to drugstore makeup when products are not highly pigmented, it just helps the shadows have something to stick to and keeps it put all day.

One thing I noticed when swatching these shadows was that there was some fallout, which was to be expected. When applying them, I would definitely do my eye makeup first before applying foundation so that one can clean up any fallout. Looking at the swatches, I have to say that my favorites are probably De Beaute palettes #3, for everyday wear, and #1, for those days I want to really play up my eyes. The second palette seems to have a lot of light shades which may look better on darker skin tones. The greens in the second palette are probably what I’ll use the most of in that palette.

By now, you are probably wondering where did I find this awesome beauty find. Surprisingly, I stumbled upon these palettes at Walgreens. I don’t know if they are just available for the Holiday season or if this is a new line of makeup that they will start carrying but with the low price point they are definitely something I’d like to find more of.

Have you ever tried any makeup by Profusion? Have you tried these palettes, what do you think of them?

Wow, I bought one of these, the berries, years ago, during the holidays, also, and want to replace it. I sure hope that they’re still selling for a buck! Regardless, if they’re anywhere near that price, I will be thrilled to find them. The one called berries on Amazon is not the right colors. Walgreens, here I come!!
