If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’d know that I’m always on the lookout for the latest beauty products. A huge craze over the past year or so has been the wonders of BB Creams. BB creams changes the way you apply makeup as they offer many different benefits in one convenient step. My favorite BB cream to date is Garnier BB Cream. Typically, instead of using a heavy foundation I’ll just use a BB cream as it provides just enough coverage that melts into the skin without feeling like I’m wearing a mask.
There are so many new beauty products coming out each week at the drugstore. One particular product that caught my eye however was Pantene’s BB Creme. What is this a BB cream for your hair? Immediately I was curious to give it a try. Typically I don’t apply any product to my hair except for an argan oil. Not even a heat protectant which is bad, I know. Nothing before I blowdry. So I knew this would be a step in the right direction as it offers 10 benefits in one convenient product.
As much as I love beauty products, I don’t want to have to apply 10 different hair products to my hair every day. The problem I have with most hair products is that they leave my hair feeling sticky, dry, rough, or just have an unpleasant smell. I like to be able to run my fingers through my hair without them getting tangled up or without my hair leaving a residue on my hands. I also want my hair to smell nice.
Did you say 10 in 1? Yes, according to the packaging Pantene’s Ultimate 10 BB Creme is a beauty balm for hair offering care and styling benefits like:
- repair for rough hair
- strength against damage
- silky softness
- brilliant shine
- frizz control
- heat protection
- tamed fly-aways
Pantene suggest applying this product in 2 ways either 1-2 pumps on damp hair or 1 pump on dry hair. At first I didn’t go by the suggested use. I have long hair to the middle of my back that is wavy/curly that craves moisture. I often have to apply MORE than the suggested use because my hair just loves to soak up product. This product however is SO DIFFERENT! I did NOT need extra pumps. In fact when I applied more than the recommended amount my hair felt so sticky after I blow dried it that I immediately had to wash it again.
So I learned my lesson and the next time I used the product I followed the directions. Immediately after I washed and conditioned my hair and before I plop it in my husband’s t-shirt or wrap it up in a towel I will apply 2 pumps of Pantene Ultimate 10 BB Creme (for shorter hair I would only apply 1 pump). First applying it to the ends of my hair and then evenly distributing it throughout my whole head of hair. Then I wrap my hair up in my towel so that the product has time to soak into my hair while I get dressed. When I’m ready to style my hair, I’ll remove the towel and comb through my hair before blow drying.
Using the Pantene Ultimate BB Creme is just one step I’m taking this year to looking and feeling “Beautiful in 2014”. Like I said, I don’t typically use a heat protectant when I’m heat styling so the fact that this BB cream for my hair has a heat protectant in it is a step in the right direction. The other 9 benefits that this styling cream offers are a bonus. And the smell is the classic Pantene smell which I happen to enjoy! I prefer to apply this product on my damp hair right after I shower as I don’t like the feel of it on dry hair, however I’ve found that it pairs great with my favorite shampoo and conditoner.
