I recently stumbled upon this tag (originally created by Laura from The Beau Bow) on a fellow beauty blog, Hidden Beauty, and thought it would be fun to answer these questions myself. If ya’ll know or come across any beauty tags that you’d like me to participate in just let me know. I think tags are fun and offer a glimpse at the blogger behind the blog.
- Name a beauty regime that you rarely do?
- Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
- How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
- How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it? (i.e purchasing a new topcoat, or a new foundation etc.)
- What is your worst beauty habit?
- Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
- When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready until the last minute or not?
- Can you commit to spending bans?
- How organized is your makeup and nail polish collection?
- What is the longest amount of time you have gone without writing a blog post?
- Copy and paste these ‘rules’ into your post when you write it!
- You must state that this tag was created by Laura from The Beau Bow.
- You must thank the person who tagged you at the start of your post, follow them if you’re feeling nice and at the end of your post state who you tag, and comment on their blog to let them know you tagged them.
- Title this post ‘The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG’ .
- Have fun! :)
I’m very bad with washing all of my makeup off at the end of a long day. After trying out the illuMask and having to wash my face every night for 30 days straight I saw the importance of cleansing my skin at the end of the day even when I think I’m too tired. Needless to say cleansing facial wipes have become a must-have in my beauty regime.
I wish I washed my makeup brushes more often. I’m often too busy or fear that I will “need” those brushes while they are drying. Maybe I need a backup brush set that I can use while my others are drying that way they will be washed in rotation. Hmmmm….that’s an idea!
Probably longer than I would like to admit. Chipped nail polish doesn’t bother me that much, it just means that it’s time for another pretty color. Painting my nails does take a while so I often wait to repaint them on a night when I can just hang out and watch some TV.
I’ve been putting off buying my favorite topcoat for a while now, the price is a little “up there” for drugstore products so I’ve been holding out waiting for either a good deal or finding a product that works equally well but with a slightly lower price tag.
I think my worst beauty habit would be keeping my lips moisturized. I never seem to be around a lip balm when I need it or rather should I say when I think about using it. I think I need a lip balm in every room, do you think that would help?
Putting away the laundry. Laundry is just a constant cycle. I never feel like I’m caught up with it and by the time I do get all the clothes put away in their proper places it’s time to wash another load and the cycle continues. Never. Ending.
If I have advanced plans, then I will get ready way earlier than I need to. But if it is spur of the moment I’m usually rushing to get ready quickly so Hubby and the kidlets aren’t waiting too long for me.
I’m a deal shopper. So I’m constantly on the lookout for when products that are on my “must try” list go on sale. Some weeks I find some amazing deals while other weeks are just a pass. But most of the shopping that I do is when I’m shopping a sale.
My collections are pretty organized. I’ve already shared how I like to organize my nail polishes and they are beginning to get a little cramped so I may be figuring out a new nail care storage solution soon. As for makeup, it’s pretty organized as well which I shared in a very old post that definitely needs to be updated. I also keep my makeup brushes in a DIY holder. Everything has a place and I’m constantly trying to figure out a better more organized solution. I arrange and rearrange rooms a lot in my house.
As some of ya’ll know I also homeschool my boys so some weeks are a little bit more hectic and overwhelming with due dates than others. On those hectic weeks is when I’m just too exhausted at the end of the day to form a single sentence. I do try my best not to take too many breaks but when holidays or other parts of life happens sometimes I just can’t get to the computer to write. I am constantly thinking of new material to share with all of you though and keep a running list of “blog posts to write” on my phone that will eventually turn into blog posts one of these days. I’ve been chatting with some of my favorite bloggers who have been nothing but encouraging about getting all of these ideas out of my head onto the screen. I’m hoping to do even more blogging this year. I have lots of fun, exciting, and hopefully interesting content that I’ll start sharing with you all soon. I also hope to eventually establish a consistent blogging schedule so that you all will know when to expect new content. That’s just a few of my goals I have for being “Beautiful in 2014”, figuring out the best way and sticking to it is always the hardest part.
