Can we talk about my latest makeup obsession? I can’t get enough of Maybelline Baby Lips. I love these little moisturizing tubes of lip balm. Not only are they a great lip balm but they also add a hint of color to your lips. As a person that isn’t a fan of lipstick unless my lips aren’t chapped, I love Baby Lips because it will give me that hint of color on my lips to brighten up my face but without feeling heavy or weighed down like a lipstick.
Normally when applying makeup I would apply a lipgloss to finish off my look because gloss to me feels less drying than a lipstick. Since I tend to play up my eyes more dramatically, I like to give my lips a softer look nothing too bold. Since trying out the Baby Lips, I’ve found myself reaching for these little tubes of lip balm a lot more. I love the soft pinks and how my lips feel moisturized after using them.
Maybelline Baby Lips are a Makeup Must Have for traveling because they are small and compact yet give you the benefit of both a lipstick and a lip balm in one. I found that they are great to have on hand in the makeup bag that you keep in your purse for those times when your lips need just a little something throughout the day. I especially love the Baby Lips Dr. Rescue lip balms because I always feel like my lips need a little extra help. I have dry lips all the time, it is something that I’ve just dealt with my entire life. The Baby Lips Dr. Rescue lip balms have a special formula to provide 12 hour hydration (although I still reapply several times a day), medicated care, and soothing eucalyptus. My favorites from the Dr. Rescue line are Pink Me Up, Berry Soft, and Too Cool. I reach for the Too Cool at night, and apply it to my lips right before bed as a moisturizing lip treatment while I sleep.
Maybelline Baby Lips also comes in a range of colors called Electro. These are a bit more pigmented than the original Baby Lips. Of course, I’m sticking with pinks so I love the color: Pink Shock but there are other vibrant, neon colors like Oh! Orange and Berry Bomb which are colors that are hot trends right now for Spring.
I’m not a fan of sunscreen in my lip products because I do not like the way that sunscreen tastes. I’ve tried other brands in the past that offer a similar product but was turned off by the overly sunscreen scent and taste. If something is on my lips chances are it’s going to get rubbed off when I eat, so I try to find lip products that do not contain sunscreen. The shades I found in the Dr. Rescue and Electro line of Maybelline Baby Lips don’t contain sunscreen which is part of the reason why I love them so much.
