So I think I am going to add on to my new years resolution.  I was checking out, and she gives oodles of tips on how to organize and keep a schedule for your house.  Now, I’ve never been one for organization, but I think I am going to give it a shot.  I could use a little structure right about now.  Ever since I became a stay at home mom 2 yrs ago, I’ve just been kinda winging it.  Just doing whatever needs to be done when I feel like it not when it actually needs to be done.  No set schedule, not doing specific things on specific days.  I want to be a perfectionists when it comes to my house and my family.  The only thing that I am a perfectionist about is my website.  I will work all day to make sure that it look absolutely perfect, I hate to even go to bed when it doesn’t look the way that I want it to.  I need to apply this same attitude to my SAHM duties.

I am going to try to go to bed a little bit early tonight.  One of the first things that I learned from is the first thing that I should do when I wake up is get me ready.  Take a shower and get fully dressed all the way down to my shoes.  Now I usually run around the house bare footed but she says that when you are wearing shoes you are more focused and business like.  To look at being a stay at home mom as any other job, the most important job in the world.  That way you are ready to run out the door at any given moment whether it be to take the garbage out or run to the store you are ready for anything.  I need to take this whole organization/schedule thing slow.  Start with the little things.  I figure I could get up take a shower and get dressed no problem.  I need to figure out the right schedule for me, but as soon as I do I will post my mock schedule so that it might help others. I really want to stick to this and not get burned out and go back to my old ways.  I am putting this in writing as a constant reminder for myself.

On another note, I just read my husbands latest blog and I am a little upset at the moment.  I think I’m going to go work out now. Night.

LOL…that’ll work I guess, the concept of wearing lace up shoes is so that they don’t come off so easily, and you gotta work to take them off…hee hee. You should really give it a try, I’m not saying that you have chaos in your household or anything, but it does give a nice structure to the day. I just signed up for the yahoo e-mail group that they have, and it has been great so far today…they send you reminders on what you should be doing throughout the day so that it will keep you on track.

This program is highly recommended, I encourage anyone to use it.  I swear they aren’t paying me to endorce their site, I just see some positive changes already happening at my house and figure any other SAHM would appreciate it.

That sounds pretty sweet. Im a pretty hard worker w/out shoes tho. But it all makes sense. I did wear shoes at my job in the PR Dept and State Farm hehe. Although some slow days I’d slip my shoes off behind the desk ;-)
Come to think of it when I did that it made me want to sleep. WEIRD!

LOL…see what I tell ya….I’ve been wearing shoes all day long, and I’ve been a busy little bee. I wonder why you have a different mind set when you are wearing shoes. Eh, who knows. I’m off to do some night time yoga.
