Ok, here is the deal. I need a little input from my avid readers. If you’ve been with me for a while you would know that I had a previous website at TheDomesticDiva.Sitesled.Com prior to buying this domain. Well, I won an award for the design that I did on that site. The prize was a $20 gift certificate to amazon.com. It has been a year later and I still haven’t redeemed my gift certificate. I have until the middle of june to do so or gone is the money. So I’ve narrowed down my choices to two…
I want the rain boots, because I’ve been secretly wanting a pair for what seems like forever. I’ve never owned a pair of rainboots before. I’m a very active gardener, so with all the watering involved I usually end up with soaked feet or muddy feet by the end of the day.
The pedometer has a built in panic alarm that I can make go off whilst I am walking if I feel threatened or in danger. I want the pedometer as a means of encouragement for myself to start walking again. I’m also I huge sucker for a fancy new fan-dangled gadget. I’ve had a pedometer in the past that I got out of a McDonald’s Active Adult Happy Meals…lol. It was free, what can I say.
I just can’t seem to pick which one I want. By friday I want to have a descision made and my order place. Which one do you think I should get?

Man, am I tired
. It has been a long, Long, LONG weekend with 3 kids. Screaming, yelling, fighting, time-outs the whole sha-bang. I want to sleep
for a week. It is weekends like this that makes me not want to have another child. I love the peace and quiet. I do not like a chaotic house. More kids = more chaos. The weekend started out on friday with a trip to the grocery store. Now I’m not one to go the store with the whole family because it takes TWICE as long to get anything done with more people involved. I wanted to be in and out. So it took 3 hours to do an hours worth of shopping.
Saturday was a good day. We had a picnic at the park. Only problem was it was like 94° F
. P-nut showed his brothers what a big boy he had become by going down the slide all by himself. They were also some little league games going on so we went over to watch for a little while. It was so cute to see the little ones all dressed up and playing t-ball just like the big boys do. We would have watched a little longer had hubby been watching the p-nut on the bleachers. Yes, you guessed it…every parents worse fear. A child falling down the bleachers. P-nut is fine, not even a mark on him. It was just the initial shock
of the whole accident that scared everyone. So since we had a mere brush of death
whilst watching a t-ball game we decided to go back and play on the playground some more. After we were all exhausted and completely out of water, we had to head back home. We let the kids play in the sprinklers when we got back home so that they could cool off. The oldest one, nicknamed “Big Head”, didn’t like the sprinklers all tha much. He complained constantly about being cold understandably and itchy which I just can’t figure out. The middle one, nicknamed “Big Belly”, loved it. But no one loved it more than the p-nut. He didn’t want to go inside at all. Boy, the fit he threw in the kitchen once we did get him inside. P-nut took a really long nap after the day was finished, he was wore out. He loves when his brothers come to visit.
Sunday, the night before hubby found out he had to work. So I had to stay home with “big head” and “big belly” for the first time ever by myself. At first I was very nervous and scared
at the idea of it all. I sucked it up and did it anyway. We only had one major blow up. I knew “big belly” had a problem obeying me going into this. He has always stretched his limits with me in the past. I was in the kitchen loading the dishwasher, while I left them playing a simple puzzle matching game. Big belly wanted to take two turns in a row when you are only supposed to take one. Big head wouldn’t have this. So big head started putting the game up since big belly wasn’t playing fairly. Big belly got mad
and hit the box out of big head’s hands. TIME OUT! Big belly sits sobbing in the naughty chair
. He wasn’t allowed to get up until he talked to me and explained to me what happened. Big belly has a problem with not talking to me about something when something has gone wrong. He clams up and just sobs. After about 5 mins or so, which felt like an eternity, he decided to finally spill the beans. Did he spill the beans? No! He told a lie! He said that “Big Head hit him on the butt” so he hit back. When kids are embarrassed or in trouble what makes them want to tell a lie
. So placing the blame on his brother was supposed to help the situation? He is only 3 so I don’t expect a whole lot out of him. But to lie at 3
Sheesh, I can’t wait till he is a teenager. So their mother came to pick them up a couple hours later, and all is peaceful in our household once again.
Ahhh, peace and quiet. How I love thee!

A Premium Coffee Drink with a Hint of Nonfat Milk & Sugar
On my grocery shopping trip this week, I spotted this beautiful can looking back at me on the coffee aisle shelf screaming “BUY ME!” “YOU KNOW YOU WANNA TRY ME!” With such convincing lines as that, I just had to add it to my cart. I was very anxious to try out the newest product of the starbucks “can” line. But alas I had to wait a couple hours for it to get good and cold as the instructions on the can so politely told me to “serve chilled or over ice”.
Upon visiting the lovely Starbucks website, this is what they had to say about their “new drink”…
Take Starbucks® Iced Coffee with you everywhere you go. It’s a new way to refresh!
Upon buying this new fandangled coffee beverage my first thoughts are “what is this going to taste like?”. My thoughts were that it would taste like a mixture between a Frappuccino and a Double Shot. Not as sweet as a frappuccino and not as bitter as the double shot. I love, love, LOVE Double Shots. I think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Frappuccino’s are ok, they are just a little too sweet for my taste [although the plain coffee version is best out of all the flavors offered]. So I was hoping that this new “Iced Coffee” would be a nice middle, not too sweet and not too bitter. Well I was definenately surprised at the taste. This drink basically taste like watered down coffee. Like when you get a “real” iced coffee at the coffee shop and have let it sit around all day until the ice melted away, the result of that is what it tasted like. Not a good taste I must say. It is definately missing something. I added 3 splenda’s to it to see if I could get it to taste just a little bit better, but of course I had no luck.
Here are the Pro’s and Con’s of this drink…
SCORE:

1 out of 4 stars
Aaarrrgghhh! I’ve been having the worst possible luck with technical things for the past two days. First it started with my cell phone. For some reason unknown to me, my wireless carrier decided they would turn off my text, mms, and internet capabilites on my phone. So after calling several times, they fixed it only for it to stop working after 30 mins. We finally got the cell issue resolved last night around midnight. Only good thing that came out of the whole phone tag thing with my wireless company is that my hubby and I both signed up for a “tone club” so that we can both download 6 new ringtones or graphics per month. It comes out cheaper in the end when we do the package deal thing. What can I say we love our ringtones…hee hee. My current ringtone is also my current profile song over at my MySpace; in case you are curious. I also got unlimited mms so that I can send myself the pictures/videos that I take on my cell phone so that I can show you guys. So be looking out for that. I’m thinking of making a specific spot just for cell phone pics but I still haven’t decided.
Then the icing on the cake happened last night just as I was attempting to change my site template. My database decided to go down. I did some searching around to find out what the problem was and the only thing I was able to find was a mysql bug of some sort. I dunno what happened but roughly 14 hrs or so later, my host decided to fix the problem. Thank goodness. I was so mad because all I wanted to do was work on my site. By the time the issue got resolved my urge to redesign had left me. So please excuse the unfinished mess going on at this site at the moment.
Ok, so it has been awhile since I’ve signed up for some free stuff. So here are all the links that I’ve found for free samples. Enjoy!

I just love mother’s day. I love the fact that hubby for just one day out of the year gets to “play mom”. It is funny to watch him take on all the things that he takes for granted that I do on a regular basis. I think they made mother’s days so that men can learn and appreciate all that a woman does.My day started out with breakfast in bed. Hubby made eggs, grits, and bacon. The bacon didn’t turn out so good so I taught him how to make a smoothie instead.
Later on we went over to my folks house and ate crab legs. Crab legs are my absolute favorite thing to eat. I only get to eat them maybe once a year so be able to eat them on mother’s day was extra special. My father bought 3 different types of crab…snow, king, and dungeon. If I had to rank them in order…king is at the top, followed by snow, then dungeon.
In the gift department…my son got me this cute shirt that says “I love MoM”. Hubby got me another shirt, a purse, a belt, some earrings, and a pink bluetooth. But sad to say my lovely pink bluetooth must go back to the store tomorrow because it isnt compatible with my phone. *tear* I guess it just wasn’t ment to be. I’m thinking about trading it in for a handsfree headset and a media upload cord so I can get all of the photos that I’ve taken on my phone off and on to my computer. You have no idea how many times I’ve called and got frustrated with my wireless carrier because I can’t set up e-mail on my phone. I don’t know what the problem is but I just can’t get it to work out. So I thought that by getting an upload cord that that will eliminate all of that hassle at once, plus I won’t have to pay to get my images off of my phone.

From the Hubby:
For My Wife on Mother’s Day
You’re thoughtful, smart, and nice, and share the best advice.
You give a lot of rides and cook and clean besides…
You’re there to lend an ear, as well as dry a tear.
You pick up socks, and shorts, and cheer while watching sports…
You tend to wounded knees, and notice every sneeze.
You’re a mother, wife, and friend, on whom we can depend.
You work while others rest… (next to this saying there is a cat working on the computer, that is so me at wee hours of the morning blogging about my days…so cute)
Face it, You’re the BEST!
note from hubby: Sometimes I do take you for granted. But know, that I love you and I do appreciate everything that you do.
Happy Mother’s Day
Love,
-The Hubby

First of all, I colored my hair like I said I would. It is now a light ash brown. It will fade as time goes on. Also, since I was up for a little change I decided to give my bangs a little snippity-snip-snip. I’m not used to them being short, so it will take some getting used to. Hubby actually noticed that I looked different. He never notices when I do a different beauty trick. But this time, he said he liked my bangs. He likes them in my face for some reason. He says they are Hot! LOL
Here is a picture of the new ‘do.
Now on to my funny story…
Friday, “Cinco de ‘Mayo’”
All day I was getting e-mails, recipe/food related e-mail newsletters, about the holiday “cinco de mayo”. And after each one I kept thinking to myself “What is with everybody and mayonaise today?” “Why is everyone on this mayonaise kick?” Now keep in mind none of the e-mails had anything to do with mayonaise but mexican dishes instead. I didn’t realize until later that night that “Mayo” in “Cinco de mayo” isn’t like the mayo as an abbreviated version of mayonaise but the spanish word for “may”. You would think that after 2 years of spanish that I would know how to spell “mayo”. Talk about a blonde moment for sure. I felt so stupid. LOL
Since all afternoon we are supposed to be having the typical spring thunderstorms, I have declared today, BEAUTY DAY!!! As I type this I have a face mask on my face unclogging my lovely pores. Later I will give myself a pedicure, I’m thinking french manicure. Then if it stops raining, I will go grocery shopping and while I’m there I’ll pick up some haircolor to dye my hair. Since I’m such a girl, I love beauty days.
And of course in honor of beauty day I gotta give ya some free samples. So, here you go:
If you ever thought about doing yoga whilst your little one is awake, you just might want to rethink that. I popped in my yoga tape and was all ready to relax and find peace, when p-nut starts climbing all over me whenever I started doing certain moves. He goes underneath me when I do “down-dog”, climbs on top of me when I do “cobra” and hugs me when I do “warrior”. It was a pretty funny workout. Because of p-nut I was falling all over the place. P-nut even did “down-dog” with me. It was the cutest thing. Now we are both “inept yogis”. hee hee
It is now an hour later and my abs are still feeling the burn. What a great workout! I really wanted to do another tape but the p-nut was upset with me because I was using the vcr for something other than turning on elmo tapes…LOL.
[edit] Total workout today: 10 mins treadmill speed 4; 20 mins weightloss yoga. [/edit]
Excersise is definately what I’ve been missing out of my everyday routine. Last night I slept like a rock and woke up refreshed and energized for the first time in a month. Even though I was only on the treadmill yesterday for 10 minutes, I woke up today with sore legs and ass. I definately got a good workout in even if it was kinda short. I forgot how good it was to feel sore. I love the feeling of accomplishment. I’m definately going to jump back on the excersise wagon and hopefully I won’t “let myself go” this time.
I’m also back taking my green tea and chromium supplements which help curb my appetite. Well since I just woke up not too long ago, I’m off to go workout and take a shower.
