1 Christmas Present

Dec 31, 2006 Author: The Domestic Diva | Filed under: Beauty

I am so glad I did my nails the other day. I got a Dynex Wireless Optical Mouse from christmas for hubby and I absolutely love it! I don’t know where it has been my whole laptop using life. I used to just run my finger over the touchpad. I tried doing that when I had my mouse unplugged and it was fairly hard with my nails all long and gorgeous. LOL. I’ve noticed it is alot harder to type as well but I’m getting the hang of it, I think. I still mess up and press wrong keys more often than when my nails are not done but better to miss a key than have ragged nails… Ahhh, all for the price of beauty.

I need your help…

Dec 31, 2006 Author: The Domestic Diva | Filed under: Commercial Break

I’m redoing Craftique’s logo. You know the skull with the crown. Well I wasn’t feeling the whole “dingbat” thing so I decided to draw and create my own version. Now this is where you come in. I created two logos, one winking skully with a bow and one without. Look at the two and tell me which one you like the best. After a couple days I’ll decide based on what you guys like best. Thanks for your help.

option 1: NO BOW option 2: BOW

So what do you think? Bow or No Bow?? Any other comments or advice would be greatly appreciated as well.

PLEASE NOTE: Belly Bean and Pnut’s Blog have both been updated recently. Go check ‘em out and leave some comments! *muah* much love for ya!

Nails

Dec 30, 2006 Author: The Domestic Diva | Filed under: Commercial Break, Beauty

Yesterday, I did my nails. They were long over due for a little TLC. I took photos of the before and after results. You can see in the before I was trying to sport the goth nail look that most celebrities are attempting to pull off right now. And as you can see my polish is all chipped off due to housework. *Sigh* So I went acrylic. And yes I did do it myself. That is the beauty of being a cosmetology/esthetics dropout. I’m just really good at all things makeup and hair. So what do you think? Likey, or no likey. I think they are ubber cute! I keep catching myself starring at them since I rarely have my nails done. Besides when you have a little length to your nail it makes you fingers look longer and not so squatty.

Oh and you guys no I’m frugal so how much do you think I saved by doing my nails myself? I estimate I saved $15.00!!!! Cost of a full set at a salon starts at about $20.00, cost of the materials to do it yourself $5.00…you do the math!

Look what Santa brought us…

Dec 29, 2006 Author: The Domestic Diva | Filed under: Commercial Break

Meet our newest member of the family. Santa left this little cute parakeet under our tree on Monday. He’s really just a baby. His name is Kawaii, it means “cute” in japanese culture. He definately lives up to his name. He’s not much of a talker like my previous parakeet, Lucky Byrd. Maybe it is because he is really young. I don’t know. I play parakeet sounds for him off of the computer and he will talk to “the other birds” but he doesn’t chatter on a regular basis. Lucky Byrd used to chatter all THE time.

Pnut loves his new little friend. I’m hoping to hand train him like I did with Lucky. Hopefully he’ll be more friendly and talkative once I start training him. I taught my last bird to play soccer, say his name and several other phrases.

Ah, payperpost you are so crazy. What I love about payperpost is that they have fun! It seems they have fun ALL THE TIME! Most jobs are so dull and boring you end up hating them after a certain amount of time with payperpost they keep it new, fresh, and interesting. (more…)

ATTENTION, ATTENTION: ChaCha Invites!

Dec 29, 2006 Author: The Domestic Diva | Filed under: Commercial Break

You may remember way back in October me ranting and raving about a great Stay Work at Home Mom job. Well, guess what folks, I GOT INVITES! I finally have invites to send out. If you are still interested either leave a comment here or reply to the email that I sent out to the people that were interested back in October. I only have 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 invites, so the first 8 to respond are going to get the invite.

I still recommend this job very much. I still love it and it has made me a pretty penny. As they say at McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ It”.
