Yesterday, I did my nails. They were long over due for a little TLC. I took photos of the before and after results. You can see in the before I was trying to sport the goth nail look that most celebrities are attempting to pull off right now. And as you can see my polish is all chipped off due to housework. *Sigh* So I went acrylic. And yes I did do it myself. That is the beauty of being a cosmetology/esthetics dropout. I’m just really good at all things makeup and hair. So what do you think? Likey, or no likey. I think they are ubber cute! I keep catching myself starring at them since I rarely have my nails done. Besides when you have a little length to your nail it makes you fingers look longer and not so squatty.
Oh and you guys no I’m frugal so how much do you think I saved by doing my nails myself? I estimate I saved $15.00!!!! Cost of a full set at a salon starts at about $20.00, cost of the materials to do it yourself $5.00…you do the math!

Love the new nails!! I read that it’s better to do the new goth nails on your toes and a clear polish on the nails — unless you’re a celeb and have others do your dirty work for you…. Happy New Year!

They look nice. I use to do mine myself, but I ran out of the acrylic stuff. I’m too scared to be around acrylic now being pregnant and all. I wanted to get the gel nails, but they’re $40 cuz they last longer.. but they’re also very very hard to get off. The people at the nail place use pliers to get it off and that’s $10.. I would rather just grow them off. I’m not really caring bout my nails right now though. They were growing well, but they break so easy.. even with prenatal vitamins. My nails suck.
