Crunch Time
So the “big day” has arrived. I’m frantically running throughout my semi-empty house cleaning, packing the remainder of our stuff, and trying to get out of here as quickly as possible. Blogging will be on a short hiatus this week as I try to pack and move my family 5 states away. Moving isn’t fun. Moving isn’t easy, but it has to be done.
Rain. Yes it is supposed to rain tomorrow the whole time we are supposed to load the Uhaul. Thankfully I don’t have to do any of the loading since I’m pregnant but still rain and moving just don’t go together. At. All.
The worry of not having a house to move into is over. Yesterday we got confirmation that we do indeed have the 3 bedroom house that we wanted to rent. It was between us and 3 other families. We got lucky, that is all we can say. Same rent as the house we are currently in but more square footage. I’m so excited to see it. We’ve only seen it in pictures so I hope that we like it. I’m sure we will since anything beats being in Tornado Alley at this point and time.
Utilities, well that is another story. Hubby forgot to call the city today so we might not have the lights turned on when we get there. Since it is the city we doubt they are open tomorrow. So unless they turn stuff on the same day you request it, we will be without lights for a couple days. Look at it this way, it could be like we are camping….LOL
.
Well, I attempted to go to sleep tonight around 8ish since I need to be up at the crack of dawn to finish up the house but I was having trouble sleeping so I’m up blogging instead. It isn’t fun to be completely exhausted, uncomfortably 7 mos. pregnant, and not be able to breathe through your nose because it is stuffed up due to a head cold your husband so lovingly decided to share. Let’s just say trying to sleep now-a-days is pretty miserable. I can already see insomnia setting in soon. I had insomnia with pnut the last couple months of pregnancy. I’m sure to have it again with this baby.
You know, they really shouldn’t show people eating on television at night. I’m sitting here roaming through the tv channels when I stumble upon someone eating marshmellows. Now why must they do that? Don’t they know there is a pregnant woman with a stuffy nose that can’t sleep that now wants marshmellows because of that 5 second spot on TV? Don’t they know that this same pregnant woman just went rummaging through moving boxes in her garage hunting down the only pack of marshmellows she knows she had in the house just to satisfy the craving? Grief!
Well now that I’m totally starting to ramble along, I’m going to take my bag of marshmellows and continue to channel surf and read blogs. If I don’t blog for a couple of days or maybe even a week it just means that I’m either not unpacked yet or I haven’t gotten internet connection at my new pad.
Ya’ll don’t miss me too much whilst I’m away. Much Love.
