Parent Bloggers NetworkUpon receiving the Baby IQ DVD: The World Around Us, I was intriqued by the beautiful packaging and the promise to

“enourage children’s language and thinking skills by creating an acive learning environment for parent and child”.

as the back of the packaging so boldy stated.

Ages for this DVD are for Babies and Toddlers. I thought it would be perfect for my two year old as well as the 6 month old little boy that I was keeping during the day. I thought this would be something that both of them would enjoy giving me some much needed rest time. We all gathered around the television and I popped in the DVD. The music was classical, the images were eye catching. The 6 month old was totally hooked. My two year old seemed to be interested but after 5 minutes, not so much. After enouragement and explaination of each of the images the two year old became more intriqued and started to point out what each images was a picture of.

My end conclusion is that I believe this DVD is geared more towards the baby crowd than a “I’m not going to sit still for more than 5 minutes” toddler. I’m definately going to hang on to the DVD and test my baby theory with our second child who is due to enter the world on May 25th of this year. I love the idea of starting them out early with learning their colours, animals, counting, seasons, movement, shapes and patterns. It is a good base for when you are getting them ready for school later down the road.

Much thanks to PBN and Baby IQ for allowing me to do this awesome review!
