Parent Bloggers NetworkAs most of you may know by now, for a while I was struggling to potty train my two year old. Since about 18 months, the pnut had been urinating in the potty consistantly. He would go #1 all day long but would never go #2. At one point it got so bad about his “fear about going #2 in the potty” that he started taking his pull-up off and pooping on the floor. I know horrible. Just as I would recognize that he had snuck off, he’d come back and go “uh oh, mommy”.

Come by my house a couple months after his second birthday and you would see me on a daily basis about to pull my hair out from him pooping on the floor on a regular basis. I just could not get him to comprehend that poop goes in the potty. I could see that he knew that he had to go poop since he would take the time to run, hide, take off his pull-up/underwear, and do it on the floor. He would watch Mommy, Daddy, and his brothers go #2 in the potty, but still we had no luck in him trying it for himself. Then entered a little piece of heaven called the Go, Potty, Go! dvd. What a saving grace this DVD has been for my family as well as my sanity.

After watching the DVD on what seemed to be repeat, on the demands of the pnut, he decided he wanted to try to go “pee and poo” like “parker panda do”. Amazingly he went into the bathroom, pulled out his potty chair and poo’d just like Paige and Parker Panda did on the dvd. I went screaming throughout the house singing the “pee and poo” song. I was so excited for the pnut. We called grandma and told her the good news. We even called Daddy at work to tell him of the big boy that his son had become. He finally got to eat the special “poop” candy I had designated for this special day that was mounted to our bathroom wall. “Boo-Boo Candy wall” is the first words out of my sons mouth after he took his first successful poop on the pot.

To this very day my son has not had a repeat pooping on the floor accident. He has pooped successfully on the potty every single time. He has even been staying dry at night as well. I can successfully say that my son at not quite 2 1/2 yrs old is 100 % potty trained *knock on wood*, and I believe that this simple DVD is what has completed what could have been a really long battle for us. A special thank you to PBN and Go, Potty, Go! for giving my son the opportunity to be ahead in his potty training class. And if you would like to try your hand at winning this fabulous DVD, head on over to PBN for details.
