Pea-vatar
I started seeing different avatars all over the internet in honor of Frozen Pea Friday as well as twitters about peas. Curious to see what the big hooplah was all about, I started doing some research.

Come to find out, the peas are about a woman named Susan Reynolds and her fight against breast cancer. Peas are her comfort during this difficult time as well as the support of others. I am doing my part by changing my avatar to reflect the pea symbol. You can do the same and upload it to this flickr group , also follow her progress on twitter and her cancer blog entitled “Boobs on Ice”.

It is a courageous story, and I am so glad she is blogging about it. Getting the word out about breast cancer is so important. Educate yourself and no the warning signs. No what to look for when you are feeling up the girls monthly. You are feeling the girls up monthly, right? Like Susan’s slogan says on her website:

“I was supposed to be a candidate for breast cancer. And then I was diagnosed.”

It just goes to show that anyone can be diagnosed with breast cancer.
