As many others, our family is making the resolution to get healthier this year. I still have about 20 lbs of baby fat to lose and my husband since losing his job has gained weight. We are starting to be more active as a family. Going outside at least once a day, weather permitting, and playing games together. As well as playing with my family, I am also trying to do my daily yoga routine and 15 minutes of cycling on the stationary bike. I know that if I keep this active lifestyle up that I will be fit in no time flat.
We are also getting away from all the “junk” that we used to eat. It does help that we have a complete health nut living in our house right now. My brother in law is all about health and fitness. He is an ex-trainer and refuses to eat any of the good stuff. We typically shop for fresh fruits and vegetables at Kroger.
We typically don’t eat out a lot to begin with, only if friends and family are visiting or it is a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary. Mainly we are trying to focus on getting more active as well as eating plenty of fruits and vegetables.

You’re so lucky (I think) to have a trainer living with you! He can help make recommendations, and you’ll know what’s really good for you and what’s just rumor.
