Typically on Easter Eve, we make these cookies but because I am on “the diet” I opted not to make them in order not to tempt myself in eating sweets. Instead we did a scavenger easter egg hunt and a glow in the dark easter egg hunt with the kids. The scavenger hunt involved placing stickers of various items on the eggs, each egg led to a different location until we found the last egg which led to the children’s easter basket. The boys both got HUGE easter baskets filled with yummy candy and toy goodies. Beany likes playing with the plastic eggs more than the toys. Pnut loves his new train set that was in his Easter Basket.

We went to church Easter morning. It was OK. By OK I mean that the church didn’t really do anything special for Easter. I was expecting a play or something but it was just a typical service. I didn’t make anything special for Easter dinner, in fact I cheated on my diet by getting a double cheeseburger from Wendy’s.

Other than going through the motions, I just didn’t feel very Eastery this year. I dunno, it just seemed like another holiday to me. Nothing all that special.
