I love Purex always have and always will. Purex has always been my go-to brand mainly because of its budget friendly price. Now Purex is going green and with the help of Jaime Pressly and offering a contest to create your very own Green-T. Winning designs could win a Smart Fortwo car by Mercedes Benz. Along with the chance to win, several other celebrities have already created their own green-t’s that will be auctioned off and the money collected will go towards the Earth Day Network.
So go ahead and do your part. Buy Purex, enter the contest, and support the Earth Day Network!!!
Jig-a-Loo is an exceptional product that I really can not see my life without anymore. I don’t know what I used before Jig-a-loo but I do know that it wasn’t doing its job that is for sure.
So what exactly is a Jig-A-Loo? Well simply put it will un-stick, de-squeak, repel water, and de-rust just about anything you spray this on. Spray it on a squeaky door, or spray it on something that you don’t want getting water damaged. Jig-a-loo does it all and with effortless ease.
I *heart* you, Jig-a-Loo. I really do!
Please go check out Jig-a-Loo’s website to find out the nitty gritty on what all this fabulous product can do. Really it is some amazing stuff!
The Green Guide is a magazine for all you eco-friendly people out there or people out there that are thinking about doing more to save the environment. I had the chance to sample out this magazine and I was thoroughly impressed. In fact, I think the article I wrote about how grocers should dish out discounts for eco-friendly customers should totally be published in there. I was so ecstatic to find more ways to save money and go green all in one fail swoop!!! There were several really great articles on how to go green and save over $60 a week!! A couple tips is to switch to those swirly lightbulbs and another is to lower your thermostat. I would gladly welcome the Green Guide on my coffee table any day of the week. It is very interesting and informative read to say the least.
Hoo-ray for saving money and the planet!
Peaceful Parenting is a fabulous new book that I have been reading that teaches parents a new method of parenting. As parents we are often fighting with our children over who gets to do what. Children are born wanting to be free and spread their little baby wings but we as parents want to do nothing but protect them and limit what they can or can’t do. There really is no use in fighting over the issue and Peaceful Parenting is a book that teaches you how to parent without being too protective giving the child the freedom that he desires but you the control that you deserve. Check out peacefulparenting.com for more information on this book.
Kutoka is a fabulous company that offers great educational games for children. For example the Mia’s Reading Adventure: The Search For Grandma’s Remedy is a fun 3D animation computer game that packs in tons of fun all while helping your child learn valuable skills to help them learn how to read. I love the concept of my child learning how to spell, know the difference between singular and plural, as well as learn sentence structure. This game is for ages 5-9 years. Anything educational and fun is always welcome in our home. I think it is important for children to do activities that engage them mentally rather than just something that will occupy their time.
Even though I love the fact that this game is both PC and Mac compatible, I do not liek that it takes a huge graphics card to use. If you have too small of a graphics card or not enough memory this game does not play very well. And as a parent, I know many of us let our children use older computer models for their little activities and frankly this game was too much for our child’s computer to handle.
Kid Created is a new online store, coming soon, that will be offering kits for your child to create their own personalized cards. How great would it be to receive or give one of these once in a lifetime type of cards handmade by your child. Each kit includes self-adhesive foam shapes, stickers, 4 crayons, and 4 cards/envelopes. Your child’s creativity can run wild as soon as you open this kit. I will be getting me oldest son to make one of these cards for his grandmother on Mother’s Day as well as one for Father’s Day for both his Dad and Grandfather. I couldn’t choose a better way to say how much we love and appreciate these special people in our lives except through a handmade card from my children.
I’ve been using the Ambi Even & Clear Strech Mark Diminishing Body Oil for about a week now and even though I haven’t seen my stretch marks completely disappear I can tell a difference in the way the look of my skin and the way that it feels. Many mothers, I know I am not alone in this, despite the efforts to try to not get stretch marks were blessed with these horror of scars as a permanent reminder of service during pregnancy. I’ve heard stretch marks called “pregnancy service stripes” or “roadmap”. I for one hate the way that my stomach looks after birthing two children that is why I was so eager to try out this oil. I cannot say that it has lived up to its name nor that it will do anything for you but if you are desperate like me and want to see if it will do anything then I would suggest you try this. Out of all of the stretch mark reducing creams and lotions that I have tried I do have to say that I like the Ambi one the best for its overall result.
Many of you may recall my recent rant over how I think grocers should be giving people discounts for using reusable shopping bags. Well I am currently making a very nice stock pile of reusable shopping bags to use only if and when grocers take notice and start to give us consumers discounts on the plastic bags that we are not using.
The latest addition to my collection is a bag from Karma Threads. Karma Threads has a lot of really cute designs that I wouldn’t mind sporting especially this one bag that states “You don’t want to come back as a plastic bag, do you?”. I believe in karma and I also believe what goes around comes around. Dish out bad karma and it will come right back to you.
So start stock piling on those reusable shopping bags and once stores start to give us those much needed discounts then we can start to use them to save money for our families.
Robeez New Weekender Collection is so adorable and simple that you can’t help but have a pair for your little one. Robeez if you have never heard of them are shoes that actually stay on to your child’s feet thanks to the elastic found in the heel of the shoe. Proper fit of the robeez is key to giving you a cute looking shoe that is both functional and affordable. Robeez has been the only shoes that my son will actually keep on his feet. We have gone through so many pairs only to end up disappointed when he kicks them off in the middle of a store. Robeez are cute. Robeez are fun. Most importantly, Robeez stay on! Check out the newest robeez looks at robeez.com.
Before discovering Get Buttoned Up I was what you would call organizationally challenged. I would try my hardest to come up with my organized system but after a day or so it just wouldn’t work out so great. The Get Buttoned Up line of organizational tools have been nothing short of a blessing for me and my family. You might have seen these awesome tools at your local Target store with their bright red bindings and notepads that scream to be written on.
The Life.doc and the Valuables.doc is something my husband and I plan on utilizing as we pack up and move to our new home. Yes folks we are moving again and with moving means the time to do some much needed spring cleaning of items we need and definitely don’t need in our home. I have already started to go through the Valuables.doc binder and fill out what is valuable to us. What a life saver this book is for us. Now I can keep track of everything all in one neat organized space.
The Collision.Kit is kept in my mom mobile at all times. It is a nice zip pocket organizer complete with camera, pen, and paper to jot down all of that important information if you were to get into an accident. The .Pads are such a great thing to have on hand as well. They make jotting down a grocery list, instructions for a babysitter, or leaving a reminder note for your husband ten times easier.
Now for my absolute favorite item out of the whole Get Buttoned Up Collection that is the CrossItOff.List. I use this spiral binder every single day. I am able to make out a list of items that have got to be done that day and then throughout the day I scratch them off until there is nothing more for me to do than to make another list for tomorrow.
All of these items can be found at the Get Buttoned Up Shop or your local Target. All of the Get Buttoned Up tools are super easy to use and completely affordable for anyone’s budget.
