The Nitty Gritty of the Sony Mommy Blogger Event
So you want to know what went on at the Sony Mommy Blogger Event. Well let me tell you about the fabulous time that we had. I was one of only 15 mommy bloggers chosen to attend this exclusive event. I was the young, shy blogger of the group but I loved learning and watching the other women interact. I never knew bloggers could talk so much!!!
The awesome group of bloggers that attended were…

On the first day we spent a large chunk of time introducing each other. Some bloggers talked a lot about themselves while others, like me, just said a short introduction and passed it off to the next blogger. After each blogger was introduced we were then introduced to the “higher ups” as I would call them or the “sony people” to you. After all introductions were complete we got to open our “prizes”.
The first prize that we got was a Sony Cybershot in a super cute blue color. Yes, I am a girl and yes I like my accessories to have colors. The second gadget we unwrapped was a Sony Alpha Camera. At this point I began to freak out internally because OMG, I have been wanting a SLR camera since forever but have never had the money to treat myself to one. Now I actually have a swank SLR camera that takes the best shots!!! The third item in our goody bag was a
Sony Handycam. Which means easier ways to video tape events and the possibility of “me-todays” coming back. (metodays are daily video casts of what I am doing during my day).
Once we opened our new gadgets we were given a quick run though of the products with Sony professionals. After we got familiar with the products we were then introduced to the famous wedding photographer, Me Ra Koh. Me Ra is such a sweet, kind person. She took all of us under her little photographers wing and taught us all how to take great shots. She told us about how she got into photography and how she met her husband. Me Ra is a sweet soul and I feel so very lucky to be one of the people that got to meet her in person.
We had dinner at a 4 star restaurant, the kind of place that has a gazillion forks and twenty different glasses. I’m not a fancy smancy type of gal so the four star hotel and upscale dinning really blew my mind.
Day two of the Mommy Blogger Event was spent discussing photographs that we took with the Sony Alpha camera as well as getting tips on blogging and feedback on how we liked the items. Day two was only half a day long, I really wish we could have spent more time with Me Ra and the others.
The Sony Mommy Blogger Event kicked ass! I can’t wait to attend another one in the future. Now that I know sort of what to expect, I will probably be more open.
Individual reviews of the products coming soon! I am still testing out the products so it may be a couple days before reviews are written, but stay tuned they will be up soon.

That sounds so exciting!
Hi!!! It was so nice meeting you! I feel very fortunate to have been picked too. I am hoping to play with the cameras a little too before I write my reviews.
It was great to meet you!! I loved hanging out with you, and I wish we would have had more time to break you out of your shell! I’m sure you’re not always shy and quiet! :-D
They didn’t put my correct blog URL in the agenda, so I’m going to go ahead and pimp it here, if you don’t mind!

Thank you so much for all those kind words! It was such a pleasure to meet you this last week. Your dad sharing his photos was so kind, and I’ve already shared the monkey shot with the kids. They LOVE it!
Your photos are looking great! Can’t wait to hear what you think of the DVDs, especially when you see Brian as the nutty professor. :) You’ll have to let Brian and I know. Much Warmth…
So glad you had a fun time, they really pampered you with the goodies! :)
That’s awesome!! *JEALOUS* Glad that you had such a nice time and received such awesome gifts.
It was SO great to meet you! I swear I will NEVER forget your introduction as long as I live!! You crack me up!!
Sounds totally awesome! And wow, what great prizes too!! :D

DIY Projects
When I decided that I wanted to homeschool the kidlets, I knew that I needed to create a space in which to do it in. Sure, we could have easily taken up space in the kitchen, but instead I wanted to create a space designated specifically for homeschooling. A place that we could retreat to, a space all about learning. (if that makes any sense at all)
Hubby used to occupy the space in the basement that we so aptly called “the Man Cave”. Overtime the Man …
