As many of you know, I am a struggling work at home mom that barely makes enough money to buy a pack of pampers each week and my husband has been out of a job since October. Since the tornado came and messed up our new home we are finding that the cash is slowly dwindling. Between the driving back and forth between our new home and existing one, plus the cost of repairs, there just simply isn’t enough money to go around. I know people hate asking for money, but when you are in a hard time like I am you have to do what you have to do.
I am setting up a donation through my paypal in case any of you read this and would like to help us out in any way. To the right in my sidebar is a “make a donation” button that you can click and donate any money you feel would help us in this difficult time. Even if you only donate a dollar, every little bit can help right now and we will forever be greatly appreciative.
Thank you so much for all the emails, and comments of concern. I have really appreciated reading them all. If I had enough time I would respond to each and everyone but right now my time needs to be at the new house cleaning up debris.
This post is a sticky post that will remain at the top of my blog until I gain internet access again. I have scheduled some reviews to auto post on specific days to fill the time till I am back on the computer telling you guys what the latest news is.
Being without water or electricity for several days really makes you appreciate what you have in life. I am so thankful though that I had my Pond’s clean sweep towelettes with me so that I could wash away the grime from my face after working in the yard cleaning up tornado debris. Now most of you won’t be working that hard and probably have nice running water but as busy as us moms get from time to time it is often very hard to get a moment to ourselves to take a bath. That is why the new Pond’s clean sweep are great for mom’s. The thick towelette easily allows you to wipe off your makeup after a long day with the kids and still not interrupt your daily routine. Cleaning off the makeup from your face can be a nice relaxing time even when you have no time at all.
So with all that is going on around here with the Tornado nearly destroying our new home, I hadn’t had a chance to announce the winner of the Star 50 Purse Party. Congratulations to…..
More contests coming soon after I get this whole thing straightened out with the tornado.
I had mentioned before, that I was going to try out the Cleanse Patch which is a detox foot patch. I have never tried a foot patch before but I have read about them and have heard nothing but good things. These patches can be pretty expensive so you want to know that the one you are getting works. Well I tried it out and it was the weirdest experience I have ever had. I followed the directions and put the patches on my feet right before bed. In the middle of the night I woke up, like I had to pee, but felt my stomach cramping like I was about to start my period. I also had a weird headache. I went to the bathroom but there was no visit from aunt mary so I went back to sleep. In the morning I removed the foot patches which smelled like BBQ sauce. It was really gross but neat to see all the crap that the pads pulled out of my body.
I told my husband about me cramping and having a headache in the middle of the night and he told me that the foot patches are supposed to pull stuff from your guts hence while I was cramping. The next night I did the detox again and this time one of the pads was a dark brown color and the other one was a lighter tan color. I suppose I am getting a lot of the yucky stuff out of my system already. You are supposed to continue doing the detox until they are completely clean in the morning. I don’t know how long that takes.
One weird thing is that every time I smell BBQ sauce now, I think about detoxing foot pads. LOL. Although, I physically do not feel any different, I do believe these patches work because of the awful smell and brown goop that is on the pads in the morning. And if cramping isn’t evidence enough of it pulling the gross toxins from your gut, then I don’t know what else is. I suppose that is why they tell you to apply the foot pads before going to bed so if you do cramp you are less likely to notice it. I just so happened had to pee when I felt the effects of the foot patch.
We Know Diets is another website that I have recently found that offers up product reviews of all the latest weighloss products. Anyone that is on a diet knows just how much diet pills cost and finding the right one that will do the job can be a bit of a challenge. There is no point in wasting your money on a product that won’t work so reading reviews on the product you want to try is a very good idea. With so much money being at stake when investing in a good weightloss product, you definitely want a second, third, or even fourth opinion on the product you are thinking of buying.
There is a website called Beautiful Review that reviews all of the latest skin care products on the market today. If you are in the mood to purchase a new skin care line, I would suggest checking out this website first (that is if I have not already written a review on it
). I love beauty review websites because with beauty products you never know if they will work or live up to the name they have established for themselves. I am always seeking the advice of the internet through review blogs to see whether or not I should invest in anything especially makeup products. If it works for someone else there is a higher probability that it will work for me.
I am not one to like energy drinks so much. I personally hate the taste of practically all energy drinks that are on the market and trust me I have tried just about every single one. So, when Cranenergy hit the market, I knew I wanted to try it out to see if it any different from the others on the market. The goodness of a fruit drink plus the effectiveness of an energy drink. It can’t be all that bad can it?
Upon tasting the Cranenergy you can immediately taste the cranberry juice. It is so refreshing to taste something other than your typical energy drink. I couldn’t tell a difference after drinking it but I have a tolerance for caffeine.
Overall I would say that if you are in the market for an energy drink that doesn’t taste like your typical energy drink, I would go with Cranenergy for sure. It is tolerable without being too over whelming with that weird energy drink taste. You can definitely taste the fruit juice but it isn’t like downing just a glass of regular juice.
Were You Raised by Wolves?: Clues to the Mysteries of Adulthood is a book that every young adult she have. I believe there is a problem in our society today where we as parents are way too busy to spend time with our children. As a result our children are growing up not knowing any basic manner skills like how to RSVP, clean a bathroom, or even be a good party guest. Everything is so fast paced that most young people don’t know how to even sit still during a quiet meeting or an elegant dinner. To help a parent or a young adult that doesn’t know how to master the skill of adult hood this book was created to give you the heads up on what is expected of you.
Check out what others have been saying at PBN.
Here is a slideshow of some of the photos I have taken of the Tornado Damage that struck my new home on Mother’s Day….
Please keep us all in your prayers. Also, check out my husband’s point of view on the whole tornado thing as well to see more photos of the destruction!
You may have seen these Ragu Fresh & Simple Packets at the grocery store recently wondering to yourself, what in the world is that? It is basically pasta sauce in a convenient easy to microwave and pour on pasta pouch. All of us moms have nights where we really don’t want to cook so find a quick meal that doesn’t involves sandwiches or cereal is a must. That is why there are these easy and convenient pouches of pasta sauce that only take a few minutes to heat up in the microwave and pour onto your favorite bowl of pasta for a quick, satisfying meal that will never disappoint.
