Sugar Cookie ReviewRecently there was a contest for Betty Crocker called Bake Life Sweeter the people that entered were asked to create a recipe using Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes plus additional ingredients. The winner of the challenge was the “Cinna-Spin Cookies”. They looked absolutely delicious.

We got a bag of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix and decided to try our hands at making a special cookie. We looked at the ideas of the other contestants and came up with a Chocolate Swirl Sugar Cookie. Here is what we did….

Chocolate Swirl Sugar Cookies
1 bag Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix made according to package directions. Half the dough and ad 1 tbsp cocoa powder plus 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate morsels. Roll out the first half of dough, the plain sugar cookie part. Then roll out the other half, the chocolate part, on top of the first layer. Roll the two layers together and slice into round cookies. Bake according to directions and enjoy!

This recipe is nothing fancy just something we through together at the last minute. You are more than welcome to try your hand at making a special cookie using your own creative ideas and Betty Crocker’s Cookie Mixes.
