I own a Canon Rebel SLR camera and love it.

I have a Tamron SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) Lens and cant imagine using any other lens. I am in love with it. Grant it the lens cost as much as the actual body.. but its well worth it. I had a 50mm 1.8 Canon lens and enjoyed that one.. but it had no range. Also easily broken since its a cheaper lens. But the quality was very beautiful.

The Tamron has great range and the crisp look of the photos is awesome. They may even make it to fit the sony.. it recommend it highly.

I think the nice thing w/ the canons is that you can use the same tamron lens i have w/ a newer canon.. like the 40D.

Glad to see theres other options out there tho . gives people a variety.

I've wanted a Nikon D40/60/80 or a Canon Rebel... I like this except for the viewfinder flipping up/out... I think I'd break it?

I've heard alot of buzz about this camera...I would love to try one out though before a big purchase. The photos look great!

I currently use a Nikon D70s. I love it but it's the only brand I've been around too;)
