I want to hold a Jellyfish
My stepsons, who stay with us during the summer, have an obsession with Spongebob Squarepants. The same annoying cartoon that I refuse to let anyone watch in my presence and the same one that Pnut refers to as “Somebob Firepants“. During a conversation with the boys we were discussing what a beach was and how my stepsons have never gone to a beach before. The conversation went a little like this…
Stepson #2: I want to go to beach!
Me: You do, why?
Stepson #2: Because I want to hold a jellyfish just like Spongebob!
Me: OMG, you can’t hold jellyfish! They. Will. KILL. YOU!
Husband from the other room: JELLYFISH WILL KILL YOU!
**silence**
Stepson #2: Well, then why does Spongebob get to hold them?
Husband from other room: Because spongebob is stupid!

I would like to go on the record for stating that I hate SpongeBob and his stupid little cartoon. Besides, they are going around teaching kids they can hold jellyfish! What the fudge!

Some jellyfish can be held! But you are right, most are nasty and in Australia, possibly fatal. Bad SpongeBob! May a jellyfish sting him somewhere very private!

That is hilarious! I love it! I can totally picture the whole thing in my head. hahaha!
I don’t like SpongeBob either. Too annoying now.

I like SpongeBob.
Actually, he’s not my favorite but he’s not one that makes me pull my hair out and drink large doses of cola. The shows ~have~ been getting a little more irritating ; I’m thinkin SpongeBob is having a midlife crisis.
