Thomas And Friends: Special Delivery is a very fun, educational PC game that my three year old loves to play. Even though we aren’t that familiar with Thomas and Friends, we’ve only seen a few shows, my son loves getting to know the characters as well as figure out all of the puzzles in this interactive PC game. In this Thomas and Friends game your child will learn shape sorting, color matching, logic and deduction, observation, memory skills, following directions, telling time, and counting. I’m thankful that there are educational games out there for children, such as Thomas and Friends, that offers not only a fun experience but also can be a great learning tool for them. Besides teaching your children important life skills it also teaches your child how to use and operate a computer which will really help them out later in life.

Brainiversity is another PC game that is made to help stimulate your brain. With activities that cover Language, Memory, Match, and Analysis your brain will be on its way to be more fit in no time flat! The best part is that the game comes with a Daily Exam that will monitor how you train your brain on a monthly chart. I love to play this game whenever I am having a spout with writers block or just need something to entertain myself with. It is fun yet challenging. I look forward to figuring out new activities and completing new challenges. So if you are up for a little challenge or just want something to occupy your time in between work, definitely pick up Brainiversity. Also what I love about this game is that as a parent it helps teach children that no matter what age you are it is good to always be exercising your brain.

For my fellow Divas out there, I’d like to share two Mac games (well they aren’t just Mac games they can be played on PC’s too!) that I absolutely love to play. Miss Management and Wedding Dash are two games that I have on my Mac that bring so much joy to me whenever I play them. They are similar in the way that you play them but the story and tasks are completely different. I can’t say whether I favor one or the other because honestly I play each one equally. They are just fun and really make you feel like a kid again playing your favorite game at the arcade. Just because we are adults doesn’t mean that we have to give up doing things that we love like playing games. If you like Miss Management and Wedding Dash you might also be interested in Diner Dash which is another game that I have on my Mac but can also be played on your PC.

One last game I would like to focus on is a new game that Brighter Minds Media will be releasing starting August 2008. Bob the Builder Can Do Zoo is a game for both PC and Macs that will teach your children pattern recognition, memory, hand-eye coordination, spatial recognition, shape and color identification, planning and time sequencing, as well as problem solving. Currently you can download this game off of ebeanstalkgames.com before the official release date if you would like to get your hands on it early.

All of these games are apart of Brighter Minds Media, an excellent company dedicated to improving learning for children ages 3 to 12.
