Remember Cabbage Patch Kids? They Are Back!

Oh I remember the days of Cabbage Patch Kids. Those care free days just me and my Cabbage Patch Doll. Do you remember days like these? Did you have a Cabbage Patch Doll when you were a child? What did she look like?

Did you know that Cabbage Patch Dolls are just as old as I am? Yep, that is right. Cabbage Patch Dolls came out in 1983, the same year in which I was born. That makes Cabbage Patch Kids 25 years old this year!

What I love about Cabbage Patch Kids is that they are all unique, born especially for you. Speaking of Cabbage Patch Kids being born, there is an actual Cabbage Patch called BabyLand General Hospital in our state where you can go and see the Cabbage Patch Kids being “born”. Every so many minutes a new Cabbage Patch Kid is born and you have the opportunity of adopting them right there on the spot. Visiting the Cabbage Patch Kids “Hospital” was such a joyful experience for me as a child. I have very fond memories of BabyLand General Hospital. It is such a cute place to visit as a little girl. I remember wanting to adopt a Cabbage Patch Doll so badly the day of our visit.

Reliving the memories I have of Cabbage Patch Kids are just as enjoyable for me as it would be for a little girl to create her own with these new Limited Edition Cabbage Patch Kids. Look for these new CPK’s at local toy stores, online, or at BabyLand!!! More information about Cabbage Patch Kids can be found at the special 25th anniversary website!

Oh yes!! I got 2 different ones after my dad tried to pass an imposter on me. You can’t put one over on a kid. LOL
I knew it wasn’t a real cabbage patch doll. I don’t remember how I ended up w/2 real CP dolls though. One had cornsilk hair so I could brush her hair. :)

Ahhh, the memories! I still have my cabbage patch dolls from childhood - all 3 of them! I used to go everywhere with my first CPK. Ah, the stories my mom would tell me on how she had to fight other moms to snag one for me and one for my sister for Christmas, LOL! Gotta love the 80s!!

Thanks for bringing back a happy memory!

Yes, I remember them well. Thanks for this post, Heather. I’ve now saved the link for the Cabbage Patch Site and intend to go back soon and start my Christmas Shopping… I’m going to buy one each for my 4-year old twin girls. I’m sure they’ll love them just as much as we all did in the 80s! I’m going to buy two 15th Anniversary dolls!! (How exciting!!)

I remember Cabbage Patch Kids. Oh the delight I had just filling out that little adoption card. I also remember learning how to braid hair on my Cabbage Patch Kid. I loved that thing!
