I’ve never in my life been to a WNBA game before last Friday. I am so thankful that One2One Network contacted me to see if my family wanted to attend a game in Atlanta. I went to a NBA game for the Atlanta Hawks way back in high school when I was a cheerleader (I know don’t laugh we actually cheered in a playoff game for my school before the Hawks played) and the Omni was still built but that was ages ago, long before marriage and kids.

Sometime last year we went to an Atlanta Braves Baseball game that was loads of fun for our family, we really enjoyed the game experience there which was all the more reason why we wanted to attend our first ever WNBA game. Now I must be honest here, I had no idea what my home states WNBA teams name was. I know that is pretty sad, but up until today I had always been a New York Liberties fan. But I can proclaim that after watching a game, live and in person I just might be a fan of our home team. In fact, I found a team member that I might just be a fan of Shalee Lehning #5. I liked Shalee because she was smaller than the rest of her team mates but yet she still got in there and attacked with the big guns.

The game we were so lucky to see was the last home game of the season and because the Atlanta Dream won, excuse me, stomped the competition at 88-64 they are going onto the playoffs! It was a very exciting game, everyone on their feet cheering. My husband was perhaps the funniest person in the arena to watch, he really gets into his sports is all that I will say.

Seeing the WNBA was a fun experience for our whole family. During the season they often have family packs, like the one’s we got, that is a great deal for families to experience the game together. For ticket information, check out ticketmaster for game schedules and ticket options for your favorite teams. For information on the Atlanta Dream, here is their page on ticketmaster as well as their official team page.

What I love is that a good number of the team members are on twitter, and you guys know how much I love to twitter.
Go ahead and check out a few to follow:

So would my family go to another WNBA? You bet we would, in a heartbeat. We loved the atmosphere at the Philips Arena, lots of great places to eat there plus amazing seats where everyone can see the game. Oh and did I mention that I think the Atlanta Dream team has the best mascot ever? The bird was so funny. I’m pretty sure we will go back to another WNBA game since the kidlets keep asking when we will be going back.

What WNBA games have you been to?
