A lizard in my Home Office caught on LIVE video using Ustream
So apparently the lizard that I “threw out” (ok not literally I caught him and let him outside nicely) of my home office a couple weeks ago has decided to visit again. Yesterday morning while writing a quick blog post before starting my busy day at home, I heard a scratching behind my head where the windows in my home office are located. I ignored it at first but then it started again, so much so that it broke my writing concentration so I had to find out who or what was making that noise. Just as I peered over my shoulder I saw a little lizard head peek from behind my damask curtains and look directly at me. I nearly freaked!
After calming down a bit, I decided to capture the event on video using the new Ustream Mobile Broadcasting app (btw, with my new ability to record video using my iPhone 3G there is a pretty good chance that I will be making more quick videos like this so if you would like you can view them all on my Ustream Channel or watch them when they have been imported into my YouTube channel. Also that LIVE VIDEO link under our “Community” tab at the top of page in our navigation bar is another place to view these type videos…just saying) that I had installed on my iPhone 3G that very morning. This is what I saw….
Is that not funny? What is weird is that this particular lizard seems to have a bit of an attitude problem. When I look at him he just gives me this most disgusted look imaginable, as if I were wrong to put him outside where lizards belong in the first place. I think he is trying to prove me wrong or something. He seems to be very content here in my home office but I’m sad to say that he just can’t stay here, this isn’t a lizards environment.
So the question remains to be answered: “How or why did he get in my home office?”
The children like him very much and have even named him “Freddie”. But before we go and “Freddie” goes back to the wild, I took some photos to share with my Twitter followers.

Have you had any weird creatures make their way into your house?
No lizards or other animals were harmed in the making of this blog post. Suspects have been removed and released back into the “wild” :)

haha! I see our friend likes Paula Deen! LOL! :)
A lizard? Good lord woman, where do you live?! He’s so cute though… I had a lizard when I was a kid. Good times.
As far as weird creatures, nothing beyond this huge-ass black spider (I swear this thing was as big as my cell phone!) that jumped at my husband when he tried to kill him. I live in the northeastern US… we get loads of spiders up here!
OMG! I would’ve died! Me + Lizards do not mix. They terrify me.

@Jacklyn, ROFL I know he must be a HUGE fan!
@Jenn, ROFL *snort* Georgia. Eeek! spiders, they totally creep me out. We kept finding huge spiders when we lived in Oklahoma. They were wolf spiders and looked as if they could eat you in one gulp. Ugly looking creatures.
@nicole, I’m in GA so he must have come from your house ^_^

DIY Projects
The other day I was telling my Mom how I thought a storage bench would look nice in my office. Not only will it provide additional storage but a nice, NEW place to work from. Well after I ran the idea by her, she was out doing what she loves best…yard sale shopping…when she stumbled upon a coffee table. After looking at it and comparing it to storage benches we had already looked up online she decided to get it for me in hopes that we could …
