Sports Party idea: Cheesy Spinach and Bacon Dip recipe

5 February 2010 One Comment Disclosure

Remember sometime last year when I mentioned that I had partnered with Velveeta on an online campaign called the Velveeta it! Kitchenistas? Well guess what we (5 fabulous ladies) are back and this time we were asked to create several video blogs (vlogs) to share fun and interesting recipe ideas using Velveeta.

My first vlog is centered around sports. Sports brings people together and it’s also a really great time to throw a party. But if you are like me, you want to spend less time in the kitchen and more time socializing with friends. Velveeta has shared a recipe with me that might give you a few ideas on what to prepare at your next sports themed party.

Cheesy Spinach and Bacon Dip

recipe provided by Kraft/Velveeta

Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, and drained.
  • 1 lb. (16 oz.) Velveeta Pasteurized Cheese Product, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 4 oz. ( 1/2 of 8 oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed
  • 1 can (10 oz.) RO*TEL Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, undrained***
  • 8 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cooked, crumbled

Directions:

MICROWAVE ingredients in a microwaveable safe bowl on HIGH 5 minutes. or until VELVEETA is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after 3 minutes.
SERVE with tortilla chips and cut-up fresh vegetables.

***Ro*Tel is a product of ConAgra Foods, Inc.

I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program, which includes vlogging about my cooking experiences with VELVEETA and developing one original VELVEETA-based recipe. I have also been compensated for the food purchased for my VELVEETA vlogs. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.
