Outdoor Living ideas from Pier 1
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Now that the cold weather is gone and beautiful warm weather is upon us, I can’t help but be excited about being outside. Every chance I get I’m outside enjoying my gardens, and deck area. Minus the bugs it’s almost perfect this time of year.
I’ve been doing a lot of research on creating the perfect outdoor space. I love looking at photos of what others have done to see what elements I could recreate in my own space.
Pier 1 is one of those places that I love looking to for outdoor space inspirations. As some of you may know I love damask print anything, upon browsing Pier 1’s outdoor furnishings sections I stumbled upon this damask door mat.
I haven’t quite figured out what kind of backyard theme I want to have yet. Yes, I love Damask but do I really want my office and backyard space both decorated in damask? Should outdoor spaces be as bright and cheerful as nature? I suppose it’s all up to one’s own personal taste. I know this hammock would be awesome to have. I can see myself relaxing in it right now :)
An easy way to add a pop of color to boring lawn furniture would be with bright pillows and seat cushions. I was noticing that Pier 1 had a lot of those in a variety of different colors. Also fun and festive planters are an easy way to spruce up the outdoors filled with one’s favorite herbs or flowers.
It doesn’t take a lot to make a backyard space a haven, just a few loved pieces make it your own. Let your personality shine through even in outdoor spaces and don’t forget to relax and enjoy it every once in a while.
There were several Pier 1 Tweetups that happened over the past month or so, that I’m sad to have missed out on. A tweetup would be a great way to share outdoor space ideas with friends. If you missed a tweetup, like I did, one can always ask friends and family what ideas they might have for an outdoor space.
