Or shall I say vegetables! I don’t know when but all of a sudden I look out into the garden today and see not only cute little green tomatoes staring back at me but beans as well. The last batch of rain must have done our crops well (I swear it’s like liquid gold for plants, rain water is awesome). So in my excitement I want to share some of my latest photos from the garden:

The first to grow in the garden was Romaine Lettuce. Granted I got these as plants and didn’t plant them as seeds but still they are getting bigger and looking oh so good to eat. I’m just a little sad that half of the lettuce plants that I’ve already planted have died but the other half is going strong. I still have hope :)

Next up, may I present to you beans!!!! YAY! The beans are starting to look like beans. I’m not sure when I’m supposed to pick them or what kind of beans I planted but I’m excited to be eating these guys soon. I really should get on that idea of making my own garden signs just so I’ll know what I planted where. My brain just isn’t what it used to be.

And lastly, we have tomatoes! Aren’t they cute. I have big plans for these guys and I’m sure they are going to taste absolutely wonderful in our homemade spaghetti sauce.

Along with our exciting news of our plants bearing vegetable gifts, I have some not so exciting news. It seems as if our herbs have bit the dust. I had parsley, oregano, basil, and mint planted. With the scorching sun and lack of rain for several days it seems as if the oregano and mint are no longer with us :( I’m very sad but have since moved their planter out of the sun and will probably plant some more herbs from seeds eventually.

Do you have a garden? How is it doing?
