My Electronic Carry-All

I use my laptop in a variety of different places in my home. From the comforts of my cozy bed to the kitchen counter to the couch in the living room. Going from room to room to room lugging a laptop and its various parts that I need along with it can be a bit of a hassle so I came up with the solution that works for me and it involves a simple craft bag. One may have seen them at the craft store they typically have lots of pockets on the outside of them with one large compartment in the middle to house things like yarn.

Since I use a mini laptop it easily fits into the large compartment in the middle. This space also houses the extra speakers/headphones and other various wiring I might need at any given moment. The pockets on the side are great to hold my pens, flash drives, etc.

It’s simple but it works for me.

What have you repurposed lately?

It's neat that you posted this, because I recently re-purposed a beach/day bag for the same purpose — to lug around my netbook/Macbook (one is 12" and the other is 13", so they're not too far apart in dimensions), my Nikon DSLR and my iPod when I'm out at the park or pool with the kids!

Awesome! I love figuring out new purposes for old items. Your beach/day bag sounds great! Believe me I know the pain of having to lug around all the electronics wherever I go. A laptop bag just doesn't hold it all especially when you factor in a big dslr!! Enjoy your tech-tastic summer ;)

What a great idea. I just make like three trips to tote all my stuff.
