I had the absolute best time attending the Walmart Shareholder’s Meeting this year. Some of my long time readers may recall a similar trip that I took last year around this same time for Walmart Shareholder’s 2010. Like previous years, I was asked to attend the I'm a Walmart MomShareholder’s Meeting as one of the Walmart Moms. Let me tell you, our seats this year ROCKED! We were only 10 rows away from center stage. Our seats couldn’t have gotten any better, if you ask me.

Some of my favorite highlights from the Shareholder’s Meeting besides the awesome performances were the inspirational stories. I love hearing about how Walmart has changed other’s lives.

Will Smith was the host of the show and did I fabulous job in my opinion. We also had the pleasure of hearing American Idol Winner 2011 Scotty McCreery, Alicia Keys, the Canadian Tenors, and the Black Eyed Peas. Yes, you read that right. The Black Eyed Peas performed at Walmart’s Shareholder’s Meeting!!! They are one of my favorite bands hands down, and I was so excited to see them perform live & in person.

I had both my video camera and digital camera handy trying to capture every exciting moment of the event…if only I had more than two arms :) Below is a quick video I put together of some of the photos and videos I shot while I was there: (you can check out my photos on my flickr set)

It’s amazing to think what all must go to put on a Shareholder’s Meeting. Below is a time lapse video of the setting up of the stage.

For those that are interested one can view a replay of the Walmart Shareholder’s Meeting online as well as read and see what Shareholder’s is all about. Here is a behind-the-scenes type video of the excitement that surrounds the event. Being in the room one can’t help but be excited as well.

A blog post really can not sum up how much fun I had on my trip. With every trip to Walmart’s Home Office I’m amazed and honored to be a part of the Walmart Moms group. Like past trips, I learned a lot about the company and look forward to seeing the company grow more in the next year.

Walmart momDisclosure: I am one of the Walmart Moms. Walmart flew me out to Bentonville, AR to visit Walmart’s Global Headquarters, Sharholder’s Meeting 2010, and attend the Saturday Morning Meeting. This was my experience at the events. All opinions are 100% my own.

Glad you had a great time! I remember when I went to school at the University of Arkansas and allll the chaos the shareholders meeting had on traffic around campus!

Really. I can only imagine what traffic must have been like for this event. It's crazy but in a good way. Thanks for sharing this story.
