As a Walmart Mom, I was given the challenge (by Walmart) to come up with a few gifts for Dad on Father’s Day. Why is it that it is so hard to buy for the Dad’s in our lives? Based off of the Mother’s Day gift basket idea that I did for my mother, I decided to do a “Gift Cap for Dad“.
I went to my local Walmart with the idea and a budget. First on our list was to find some inexpensive hats to serve as our “baskets”. In the men’s department I found the hats in a one size fits all (so I don’t have to worry about the right size) and the best part was they were only $3 each. Basic and exactly what I was looking for as our base for our “basket”.
Next it was time to fill them. Instead of buying cologne, I opted to pick up a more budget friendly option with body wash. I picked out two scents, one for my Dad and one for my husband.
Now onto something sweet for a treat. In the candy aisle I was able to get both Dads one of their favorite candies at only a $1 each!!!
And lastly something to wear, preferably something that matches their hats. So I found some inexpensive graphic tees to roll up and add to our “Gift Caps”. The thing about the graphic tees is that they are kind of like the card to our “basket”.
What last minute gift idea do you have for Dad?
