Geez! Have you been outside lately? In my neck of the woods it is uncomfortably hot. Down right unbearable at times. In lure of the hot summer months I thought I would share with you all one of my favorite afternoon treats. Frozen Vanilla Bean Latte’s are quick, easy, and definitely hit the spot on a hot summer afternoon.
- 1/4-1/2 cup chilled espresso
- 1 cup vanilla bean ice cream
- 6-10 ice cubs
- (optional) cocoa powder for garnish
Frozen Vanilla Bean Latte’
In a blender combine all ingredients and pulse until smooth. Pour into favorite glass and enjoy with a straw.
If desired, sprinkle with cocoa powder on top.
Note: one may notice that the ingredients are a bit vague. This is done on purpose to allow for customizations. Some people like their coffee strong while others not so much. If you prefer to have your Frozen Latte’ not so strong then only use a 1/4 cup of espresso, if you need an extra pick me up add 1/2 cup. The more espresso added the less sweet the drink will taste as well. Also, some people prefer lots of ice in there whipped coffee drinks, if not use less ice cubs.
