I thought it was about time to give you guys an update on how the curly girl method is working out for my hair.

It’s weird for me to say this but I’ve actually grown to really love my hair in it’s natural state. So much so that I actually prefer it now. It requires a lot less maintenance than trying to straighten it. Also I’ve found that the few times I did break down and straighten it that I didn’t really like my hair being straight anymore.

For most of my life I’ve battled my hair trying to make it look a certain way or do certain things that my hair just isn’t supposed to do. Now that I’ve finally let my hair just do what it wants I’m extremely happy with it. I can tell it is becoming much healthier without all the use of heat styling.

So I’m still sticking with the Curly Girl method. I’m hoping one of these days I’ll figure out the perfect combination of products but until then I’ll continue to embrace the learning process.
