It’s holiday time! Even though Christmas is still a few weeks away no one likes waiting till the last minute to find that perfect gift. But finding a perfect gift for someone can be really challenging. I think I’m the worst at guessing what to get someone as a gift when it seems like they have “everything” already. So what do you get your friend, family member, coworker as a gift whether it be for the holidays or another special day in the year?

As a Walmart Mom, I recently had the opportunity to try out a new app on Facebook called Shopycat. And honestly, I never even thought about looking to Facebook for my gift buying answers. The Shopycat app generates a list of suggested items that your friend/family member might like based on their likes and interests on Facebook.

Of course, when I tried it out I wanted to see what “gifts” would be suggested to my friends & family to see how accurate the app would be. I would say that it was somewhat accurate but there were some suggestions that were a bit off. Keep in mind when trying out the app that Shopycat is still in BETA. I can only hope that Shopycat will improve as time goes on.

Do you think Shopycat would be a good “tool” to use when trying to find a gift for someone?

Will you give Shopycat a try on Facebook?
