One of the things I hate about traveling is the liquid restrictions on flights. I’m getting ready to head out on a trip but I didn’t want to buy a bunch of travel sized products. Instead I wanted to use what I already had on hand. At one of my local stores (Walmart) I picked up several travel sized bottles that I could fill with things that I needed on a daily basis like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. They had different colored bottles but knowing me I would have forgotten what I had put into each one. I definitely don’t want to make the mistake and use body wash instead of my shampoo.

So I decided to label each bottle. Instead of using something like a sharpie, I decided to get a little fancy and use some rub-on scrapbook letters that I had stashed in my craft drawer. To make sure those letters stay on during travel and use, I wiped them lightly with a little bit of clear fingernail polish.

Super simple and definitely will make using each product when I travel a lot easier.

How do you label your liquids when you are traveling? Do you like to fill your own bottles or do you go with the trial-sized products?

I love this idea Heather! Although, you know, 3 ounces of lotion or conditioner just aren't enough for me…lol. Still though, this is an awesome idea.
