Decorate the Deck for the Fourth
(sponsored post)
Last month, if you remember, I told you guys about my adventures staining a deck for the very first time (ever) and I shared how to make a Patriotic Planter. With the Fourth of July next week it’s time to think about entertaining friends.
Summer is the time of getting together with friends and family, BBQ, and spending time outdoors. Our deck is the most used space in our home during the summer months so I thought it would be fun to decorate this space for the Fourth.
I was given a budget by Walmart of only $30 to decorate our deck for the Fourth of July so I went to my local store with the giftcard provided to see what I was able to find.

items found at my local Walmart
- Patriotic Bow- $2.47
- Flag Travel Pillow- $5.88
- Stars Beach Towel- $5.97
- Wind Sock- $1.97
- Bunting- $1.97
- 2 Themed Tiki Torches- $2.97 ea.
- Tiki Fluid- $4.92
Here is a photo of what our deck looks like all ready to entertain friends….
So, what do you think? I think it came out really cute. My favorite pieces are the patriotic tiki torches and the flag travel pillow. The tiki torches are decorated red, white, and blue which goes perfectly with our theme while the travel pillow was an item that I found in the home department at Walmart that I just thought would tie in the couch to the rest of our space. The travel pillow has all of the states written on it as stripes which I thought was very unique and different.
Do you like to decorate your home for the Fourth of July?
What are your plans for the Fourth, are you going out or entertaining at home?
Disclosure: I am a Walmart Mom. I have been compensated for my time and efforts in creating this post as well as given a giftcard to purchase the supplies needed. As always my participation is voluntary and opinions are my own. My experience may differ from your own.
