In my Beauty Bag: What’s new from MAKE UP FOR EVER?

I was recently contacted by a representative for the MAKE UP FOR EVER brand and even though I’m a self-professed makeup junkie this was a brand that I had never tried before. Partly due to the fact that I do not have a Sephora near me. Regardless, they sent me a couple of their new products to try out. I guess you could say I’ve officially had my first taste of what MAKE UP FOR EVER has to offer.

MAKE UP FOR EVER is what I would consider to be on the high end of makeup. It’s great quality makeup but has a higher price tag than what one would find at a drugstore. It is also available in special stores like Sephora, MAKE UP FOR EVER boutiques, or online.

I did not get to choose what products to try from MAKE UP FOR EVER, however they did send their newest products. The New Aqua Shadow and Rouge Artist Natural.
Let’s talk about the new Rouge Artist Natural lip collection first. The 3 shades I tried were: N1 Iridescent Nude, N45 Red, and N34 Candy Pink. Since I wear mostly light lip shades my favorite was N1 Iridescent Nude which adds just a hint of shimmer on the lip and looks great paired with a strong, dramatic eye makeup look (which I’m usually rockin’ almost daily). The Rouge Artist Natural glides on smooth with a bit of moisture so I can quickly apply it before heading out the door if I feel I need a little something-something on my lips that day.

My favorite product of the samples I was provided though were the Aqua Shadows. The shades I tried were: 32E White, 4E Taupe Grey, 30E Pink Biege, 6E Navy Blue. These waterproof eyeshadow pencils glide on smooth and contain a lot of pigment. I love using the Taupe Grey and Navy Blue shades (matte finishes) as liners for my upper and lower lashlines. The White is a great highlighter shade that one can blend for a brow highlight or to dab at the inner corner of the eye for a pop of light. One trick to the Aqua Shadows is to let them set for several seconds before blinking that way they will stay put a bit longer. The sleek crayon-like design makes them easy to take with you in your favorite beauty bag when you are on-the-go.

What is your favorite makeup brand?

Do you have a certain product you just can’t live without?

Where do you normally buy your makeup?

For me makeup is about fun. It’s about finding a way to express myself daily. Makeup also is about finding the right products that will enhance my natural beauty, not cover it up. Disclosure: I was sent samples of some of the new MAKE UP FOREVER products to help write this post. All opinions are my own. My experience may differ from your own. What works for me might not necessarily work for you in the same way.

awww thanks. It's good to hear from a fan of/person who uses MAKE UP FOR EVER. If you don't mind me asking, what is your favorite product by them? I'm new to their line of makeup and have only tried a handful of their products, I'm definitely interested in hearing what their best products are.
