Three Holiday Beauty Looks from Walmart Beauty Scoop

Long time readers of my blog already know how much I love all things beauty related. So when I was invited on a recent trip to Bentonville, Arkansas by Walmart to check out some of their newest beauty looks for the holidays I was beyond excited. While we were there we had the opportunity to try out one of the three holiday beauty looks that is featured in Walmart’s Beauty Scoop magazine. The look that I chose on the trip was the “Bright Eyes” look.

Not long after I arrived back home, I received a bag of beauty products to help me recreate these 3 Holiday Looks at home. So below is a video of my attempt at recreating these easy, holiday looks for any occasion with my own twist:

Look 1: Bright Eyes

The Look How-to: apply eyeshadow primer to lids to help shadow last a bit longer. Apply Covergirl Shadowblast step 1 (light blue) all over the lid. Blend out to brow bone with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. Sweep step 2 of Covergirl Shadowblast (dark blue)on the lower lash line. Smudging with with a liner brush. Line the upper lashes with liquid liner. Smudge liner with a bit of step 2 of Covergirl Shadowblast (dark blue) on a liner brush. Finish the look by darkening the outer corner of the eye with the dark blue side of the Shadowblast. Sweep a coat of Rimmel London Scandaleyes Lycra Flex mascara along he upper lashes. To complete the look pair with a nude or soft pink lip like Loreal Colour Riche Balm.

Look 2: Bold Lips

The Look How-to: prime the eye with your favorite eyeshadow primer. Sweep step 1 of Covergirl Shadowblast- Onyx Smoke on the lids. Smudge out with a large, fluffy eyeshadow brush up the the brow bone. Line upper lash line with a liquid liner like Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner. To soften the line and correct any mistake with a liner brush use step 2 of the Covergirl Shadowblast (soft black) to clean up the your liner line. Coat the top lashes with your favorite mascara. Apply a bold color to the lips like red or dark pink. I chose to go with a dark, bright pink with Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain.

Look 3: Chic Ponytail

The Look How-to: Brush out any tangles in hair. Make a smooth, high pony tail using a paddle brush and securing with hair tie. To tame any flyaways spray with a spritz of hairspray like Tresemme’ Extra Firm Control Hair Spray. To jazz up your ponytail a bit look for jeweled hair ties at Walmart.
