Entertaining for the Holidays

10 December 2012 No Comment Disclosure

The holidays are such a busy to time of year for many. Between holiday parties and get togethers with friends, I sometimes feel as if I’m rushing through the holidays. That is why I like to keep it simple when it comes to entertaining guests. Whether it’s on Christmas Day or just hanging out with the family for a holiday party. Entertaining shouldn’t be stressful. Walmart has some simple entertaining solutions to take some of the stress out of planning for your next get together.

I love to look through circulars because that is an easy place to find some new, fresh holiday entertaining ideas. Walmart’s Holiday Entertainment Guide is now available under the Local Ad tab. Once there, click on “see another ad” under the date to check out the entertainment guide to get some holiday recipes and hosting ideas to making entertaining a little easier.

When I’m invited to a holiday party, I of course want to bring something. These shrimp trays from Walmart are only $5. You can’t beat that for a quick and easy take along to bring to your next get together.

For a holiday dessert without all the effort, Walmart carries a variety of pies that are simply delicious. The Harvest Pie is one of our favorites. It’s a classic apple pie with cranberries mixed in. Yum!

One thing I love to stock up on is my favorite coffee from Starbucks. Whenever I have friends stay with me, I always like to make them my signature latte’s in the morning. Using an espresso machine I purchased from Walmart many years ago, instead of using the traditional espresso roast coffee, I like to change it up during the holidays and use a different blend like Starbucks Holiday. This gives my signature latte’s a festive holiday flavor which can be a pleasant surprise in the morning or a delicious bonus to any dessert.

What are some of your must-have entertaining products? What do you typically bring when going to a holiday party with friends and family?
