I’ve been in the mood to tackle a lot of DIY projects that have been on my to-do list. With it being the start to a new year, I thought why not get started finishing up some of these projects I’ve been wanting to do. The first on my list was to transform an old coffee table that I had to make it something more useful.
Coffee table BEFORE
This coffee table that I had was originally an old thrift store find. I had painted it once before but since we have rearranged and redecorated some of the rooms in our house since then, it was time for this old piece of furniture to get a facelift as well. So what did I decide to repaint this coffee table with? Chalkboard Paint, of course. Yes, I’m still a little chalkboard paint crazy. For more chalkboard paint projects check out some previous post like: our homeschool cubby, bookcase, my home office desk, even my kids beds!
As you can see, a fresh coat of paint did this old, tired coffee table some good. It looks fabulous! For those curious about the bins underneath. This particular coffee table is built in such a way where I can slide two crates underneath. These are just some old crates that I picked up at Walmart a while back and we store extra blankets in them in case we need them. One could also store board games in there as well for family game night and keep “score” on the coffee table itself.
