It’s football time!!!! I know football season is in full swing because just about every time a game is on my husband is watching it. It is getting down to the wire and it’s almost time for the “big game”.
I love to go to a sports game but going to a “real game” is a bit expensive. One of the things that I love about going to a game is the food! Who doesn’t love to indulge in ball park food? I was recently asked by Walmart to share some of my favorite Game Time snacks. I decided to take the challenge a step further and see if I could find all of my favorite “stadium style” foods at Walmart.
Stadium Style Food for Family Football Night
- Pizza Sauce-$1.38
- Gordos Cheese Dip- $3.98
- Soft Pretzels- $2.33
- Tyson Popcorn Chicken- $6.98
- Tortilla Chips- $2.98
- Drinks- Fanta $4.28
I think I did pretty well finding all of my favorite stadium style type foods at Walmart. So what exactly was on our “menu” for our Family Football Night? First, I found Tyson Popcorn Chicken that I knew my boys would love. Instead of going with the typical chips and dip, I decided to go with a ball park favorite of nachos. To mix it up a bit I used a white cheese dip and let everyone help themselves to assembling their perfect nachos. Another football favorites for us are mozzarella cheese sticks that I paired with a pizza sauce for dipping. We can’t forget about those delicious soft pretzels that are so tempting at a football game, in the frozen food section at Walmart they have soft pretzels that are just as good (just a little smaller), in my opinion.
Overall, I think we did a pretty good job at finding some of our favorite stadium foods at Walmart that we could recreate at home. The best part is that the majority of these products are easy to cook at home. Many just require being heated in the oven or in the microwave so you’ll be ready to watch the game with the family in no time!
I would love to know what your favorite Game Time food is? Do you love Soft Pretzels like I do, or do you like to indulge is something else when you visit the ball park? Have you tried to recreate any of your favorite stadium style treats at home?
