What is the weather like where you live? Some days its on the cool side while others are definitely a bit more warm. This past weekend when my sons where searching for shorts and t-shirts I knew it was just about that time of year again to pack up their fall/winter clothes and switch them with their spring/summer wardrobe.
I’m dreading the long, hot summer months ahead. For me, spring is one of the most perfect times of year. I was recently challenged, as part of the Walmart Moms, to outfit myself and kidlets for Spring while staying within a $50 budget. Do you think it’s possible?
With the giftcard provided, I went out to my local Walmart to see what I could find. Above are the two looks that I found for the kidlets. I just love seeing my youngest in plaid shorts in the spring and summer months. His plaid woven shorts were only $4.97. They are made with a lightweight material which will help keep him cool. I paired these shorts with a simple solid tee from Fruit of the Loom for just $3.47.
For big brother, I picked out this stylish Wrangler Short Sleeve Henley for $5.97. I paired it with a simple pair of khaki pull on shorts for 4.97. To finish off both boys looks I picked up a simple pair of blue flip flops for both of them at $1.98 each.
One of my favorite go-to outfits for spring and summer has got to be the maxi dress, hands down. Maxi dresses are so comfortable. They are a simple, effortless outfit that can be dressed up or down. I decided to add a bit of color to my wardrobe this spring with this striped, navy and teal maxi dress at Walmart for only $15.44. Apparently, I’m not the only one that liked this dress as fellow fashionista and Walmart Mom, Jennae of Green & Gorgeous is rockin’ the striped maxi as well.
To finish my outfit, I chose to pair the striped maxi dress with a colorful pair of simple flip flops which were only $5.87.
So, how do you think I did? The total for all three outfits combined was under $50!!!! What is your favorite outfit?
