Easy Floor Cleaning with Swiffer Bissell Steamboost

We’ve been in need of a new mop ever since mine bit the dust. When it comes to cleaning our kitchen floor I’ve tried all kinds of things from a traditional mop and bucket to a steam mop. I was recently asked by Walmart as a part of the Walmart Moms to try out a new product by Swiffer.

Mopping isn’t a chore that I mind doing, the problem is finding the time to do it. I’ve found that one of my favorite ways to clean my floors is with steam so I was excited to hear that Swiffer had partnered with Bissell to launch a new product.
Swiffer Bissell SteamBoost Mop Starter Kit ($49.97)
comes with everything you need to start cleaning your hard floor surfaces (or in my case, the kitchen). The Swiffer SteamBoost combines the cleaning power of a Swiffer WetJet with a “boost” of steam to help make cleaning your floors a little easier.

Out of the box, the Swiffer SteamBoost was easy to setup. And before I knew it, it was time to get cleaning. Of course before I mopped, like always, I swept first to pick up the big debris. To use the Swiffer SteamBoost, you first unscrew the little cap and fill the unit with regular tap water. Then, attach a Swiffer steam pad (this is a moist cloth that contains the swiffer cleaning solution, a few of these come with the starter kit). Plug it into the wall, wait a few minutes for it to heat up, then begin cleaning.

Judging from the steam pad after we were done cleaning, our floors were pretty gross. One of my favorite features on the Swiffer SteamBoost is the handle because I can easily hang the Swiffer SteamBoost in the corner of my kitchen for easy access. I also like that I don’t have to measure cleaning solution with the steam pads. The Swiffer SteamBoost is also lightweight so it isn’t very hard to move around. The addition of the steam is great when trying to clean up stubborn, dried spills.

The Swiffer SteamBoost is available exclusively in Walmart stores this month while other retailers nationwide will launch in July.
