It seems like it’s been a while since I painted my nails last. Yesterday, was a busy day of cleaning house for me and at the end of the day I needed some pampering so I pulled out my DIY nail kit and gave myself a manicure and a pedicure.
I chose Salon Perfect’s “Robin’s Egg” as my main color (you may remember this polish from my Summer Beauty post). Since I was feeling a little sparkly, I chose Spoiled “I Have No Reception” as my accent color. I love the pairing of the light blue with the cool silver glitter. Another good glitter pairing would be Spoiled “Pet My Peacock” to use as an accent. “Pet My Peacock” is larger glitter than the “I Have No Reception” so it takes a lot more coats to get a striking glitter look. I painted the “Pet My Peacock” on the tip of my accent nail for my pedicure and used the “I Have No Reception” for my manicure.
Get the Nail Look: Robin’s Egg Sparkle
The look is simple to put together, first I painted a base coat of Sally Hansen Powerful Acrylic Gel. Once dried I applied 2 coats of Sally Hansen “Robin’s Egg” on all of my nails except my accent nail. I applied 3 coats of Spoiled “I Have No Reception” to my accent nail (my ring finger), allowing time to dry completely between each coat. Once everything was dried I applied my favorite top coat Seche Vite.
