I love to watch my favorite NFL team play, with the most exciting games at our house being when my favorite team plays my husband’s favorite team. It may be because I was a cheerleader in my younger years, but I love to dress up in my favorite team’s colors to celebrate Game Day! As a Walmart Mom, I was asked to put together a Game Day Outfit. Since my favorite team isn’t local when it comes to finding game day apparel with my team’s logo on it, I have to look at Browsing I found a lot of really, cute apparel and accessories to add to my “want” list to cheer on my favorite team on Game Day:

New Orlean's Saints Gear at Walmart

It would be easy to put together a Game Day outfit using any of the items from Walmart’s NFL Fan Shop. So I wanted to take the challenge a bit further, and see if I could put together a Game Day outfit from item’s I found at my local Walmart. So with the giftcard provided I headed to my local store looking for apparel I could match together into a comfortable, stylish Game Day outfit.

My local Walmart had a lot of local College Football Apparel for Men, Women, and Kids. So I needed to put together my Game Day outfit based off of my favorite team’s colors. Here are the apparel items and accessories I found for my Game Day Outfit:

  • Faded Glory Sequined Canvas Shoes: $12.87
  • Faded Glory Leggings: $6.44
  • Casual Dolman Top: $7.94
  • Necklace Accent Charms: $4.50

I was SO excited when I stumbled upon a necklace charm in the craft section at Walmart that had a fleur de lis on it which is my favorite team’s symbol. This charm will be just perfect to pull the entire outfit together. But first I had to make a necklace out of it. So I found an old chain in my jewelry box that matched the charm perfectly and with a few twists and turns of the pliars my new fleur de lis charm cluster is now a necklace.

This is probably one of my favorite necklaces now. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for more fleur de lis charms in the craft section at Walmart as well as in the jewelry department where I’ve seen a few before.

Now it’s time to put together our outfit. When I was trying to put together a Game Day outfit in my local Walmart, the first section I went to was the shoes. There I found what I believe to be the most perfect pair of football inspired shoes. They are one of my favorite team’s colors, the shape reminds me of a football, and the sequins make them sparkle. What Diva doesn’t need sparkles on Game Day?!?!?! So with our football inspired footwear and team spirit necklace it was time to put together the rest of our outfit.

I don’t know about you but when it comes to dressing up on Game Day, I definitely want to be comfortable. In the Women’s section of my local Walmart, I found this Dolman Top that reminded me of lounging about watching the game at home. It’s cute and casual without looking too out of place at a sporting event. Since it is a bit thin I paired it with the Genie Cami Shaper underneath. My favorite team’s colors are old gold and black so I needed to find something that would break up the black of the top and the shoes. So I found a comfortable pair of Faded Glory leggings in the closest color I could find to old gold. Overall, I think the Game Day outfit came out looking great! It’s casual, comfortable, yet stylishly shows off my favorite team’s game day colors.

Whether you are dressing up in your favorite NFL team gear or rockin’ your team’s colors, Walmart is a great stop when looking to show off your team spirit on game day!
