Nails of the Week: Edgy Rockstar Pink Nail Art

20 March 2014 2 Comments Disclosure

Another week is upon us which means its time for another nail look. Since we just finished celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, this week I wanted to stay with the same bright theme. The color I chose is completely opposite of green but just as vibrant. Bright pink nails look great by themselves but to give this nail look a bit of an edge, I decided to add some easy to apply nail decals that I found at the drugstore.

Nails of the Week: Pink Nail Art

Get this nail look with the following drugstore products:

  • Sally Hansen Powerful Acrylic Gel
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri: 220 Flashy Fuschia
  • Sally Hansen Triple Shine: 130 Blow Bubbles
  • Sally Hansen No Chip
  • Fing’rs Edge Hardcare Nail Addict Decals

Rockstar Pink Nail Art

This look is so simple to do. Nail art is a huge trend and it doesn’t look to be going away anytime soon. Incorporating nail art into your nail looks doesn’t have to be hard. With the use of nail decals it’s easy to show off your personality in a unique way. I picked up some of my favorite nail decal by Fing’rs at the drugstore. Fing’rs makes a variety of different nail decal sheets, all of which are fun to incorporate into nail looks. This week I’m using a skull decal because I think it shows off my inner rockstar. If skulls aren’t your thing, pick a different themed nail decal like a star or just the words “rock star”.

To create this look, first I applied a basecoat of Sally Hansen Powerful Acrylic Gel. My nails break very easily so I like to try and make them as strong as I possibly can. Next I applied one coat of the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in a vibrant pink color. I love the Insta-Dri nail color line by Sally Hansen because they dry incredibly fast so I don’t have to sit around for hours waiting for my nail color to dry. Less dry time equals less smudge time. Then I applied a top coat of the NEW Sally Hansen Triple Shine. Alone the Triple Shine is very translucent but on top of a solid base color the Triple Shine gives your nail color a completely different look. Once dried I then applied the nail decal of my choice on my accent nail. This week it is just on my ring finger on one hand. Then I sealed it all with a coat of Sally Hansen No Chip.

What’s on your nails this week?
