Drugstore Makeup Must-have: L’oreal Infalliable 24 HR Eyeshadows (Review + Swatches)

I love stumbling upon a great product at the drugstore. That kind of product that makes you think to yourself…”why have I not tried this sooner!”. This was the case for me several weeks ago when I decided to pick up a few L’Oreal Infallible 24 HR Eyeshadows.

Drugstore Makeup Must-Have: L'oreal Infallible 24 HR Eyeshadow

I was hesitant that I would like these shadows when I first picked them up. Since I’m not one that typically likes a lot of shimmer in my eyeshadows, these through me for a loop as they look very glittery in the packaging. But I decided to give them a try any way. The first thing that really stood out to me about these shadows is that they can be applied with a brush! This is great for me because I am not a fan of applying eyeshadow with my fingertips mainly because I do such an awful job at it. Eyeshadow plus my favorite brushes is automatically a win in my book.

Loreal Infallible Eye shadow Iced latte and Liquid Diamond

The packaging is really cute, in my opinion. They are like tiny pots of high pigmented shadow. Originally I thought these would be like a cream eyeshadow similar to Maybelline Color Tattoos but in fact they aren’t anything a like. The L’oreal Infalliable Eye Shadows are a combination of cream and powder. They are the perfect mix. They apply easily like a shadow but have the color payoff and intensity like a cream eyeshadow. These feel velvety smooth and cool when applied to the skin. I was amazed at how just a little bit of product goes a long way.

As you can see in the swatches, these eye shadows have amazing color payoff. I found that packing or pressing the eye shadow onto the lid with a small eyeshadow brush is the best application. Used with an eyeshadow primer or base, these shadows stay put all day. I also loved that there was no shimmery fallout when I applied them to my lids. As a rule of thumb I only use these shadows on the lid of my eye and keep the crease of my eye matte. I love that these eye shadows have such intense pigmentation and looks somewhat metallic on the lid. These shadows catch the light to bring attention to your eyes.

I’ve already fallen in love with the two colors that I chose to try: Iced Latte, which adds a beautiful hint of light to your eye look, and Liquid Diamond, a silvery purple metallic pigment. My favorite aspects of these shadows are the beautiful shimmery, metallic intense pigment, the ease of application, and lack of fallout. I’ve noticed that I’ve been reaching for these two eyeshadows more and more to add a little something extra to my eye looks. I know I’ll be adding more shades to my collection very soon.

Have you tried these eyeshadows? What is your favorite shade?

Typically drugstore eyeshadows leave something to be desired, so I was very surprised to end up loving these so much.

Thanks for showing what these look like! I’ve seen them several times and have been tempted, as I LOVE shimmer and intense pigments, but I’ve hesitated because cream shadows tend to crease. It’s nice to know that these are a mix of powder & cream and don’t crease. :)

A must for me with any eye shadow is definitely a good eye shadow primer or base. It gives the shadow something to stick to and helps prevent creasing. I use an eye shadow primer every time I apply eye shadow and did the same with these. Thanks for the kind comments, glad I could help. I’m definitely going to be adding a few more fav colors to my collection. I’m not much for shimmer, but after trying these shadows out I’m definitely reconsidering shimmery metallic shades.
