Can you get a Whiter Smile at Home? Colgate Optic White Review

(sponsored post)

My smile isn’t perfect. But despite it’s imperfections I try and take the best care of my teeth that I possibly can at home. When it comes to teeth, stains are bound to happen based on the foods and drinks that we consume on a daily basis. I know that my obsession for coffee and love for sweet southern tea as well as sodas aren’t so great for a white smile.

Colgate Optic White Review

When it comes to toothpaste I try to look for one that has some sort of whitening agent in it. When Walmart asked me to try out the new Colgate Optic White as a part of the Walmart Moms, I was interested. Who doesn’t want a whiter smile? Colgate Optic White comes in a few different products that are easy to mix and match based on your own personal preference. There are a few Optic White toothpastes to choose from, I was sent the Platinum White & Radiant toothpaste that has extra polishing brighteners built in to remove stains. What stood out to me the most was that it is enamel-safe. When using this toothpaste it bubbles up and quickly fills your mouth with a fresh minty flavor. Out of all the products from the Optic White line, I think the White & Radiant toothpaste was my favorite. I loved the taste and the bit of bubble action. This isn’t a super thick toothpaste yet it still seemed to do a good job of helping to clean my teeth with the added benefit of a bit of whitening.

Colgate Optic White Toothpaste Toothbrush and Mouthwash Review

The next product I was given the opportunity to try out was the new Colgate Optic White Toothbrush with the Built-In Whitening Pen. Have you seen these? Immediately upon looking closely at this toothbrush it definitely isn’t your typical toothbrush. This toothbrush is a bit different in the fact that it has 6 “whitening cups” among the bristles. This toothbrush also feels a lot different when you are using it versus a regular toothbrush because of these whitening cups. What also makes this toothbrush different is that it has a built-in whitening pen that can be stored inside the toothbrush. I’ve tried whitening strips before but they are a bit hard to apply so I liked being able to try whitening through a pen like in this toothbrush. The whitening pen for me was best used to help whiten specific areas that might be a bit more stained than others. I have a very small mouth so it was easiest for me to use the whitening pen as just a spot treatment and I liked having the control over what specific areas I wanted to apply the product.

Lastly, I tried the Colgate Optic White WhiteSeal. This mouthwash compliments the other Optic White products in the fact that it actively whitens and is enamel-safe as well. When using this mouthwash your mouth fills with bubbles. Even with using a small amount I could feel its effects throughout my whole mouth. The taste is different from a traditional mouthwash so it does take some getting used to. I liked that it was alcohol-free and that it helps to protect against future stains as well as the way that it made my teeth feel after I used it.

After trying out a few products from Colgate’s Optic White line of products, I can see adding a few of my favorites to my beauty routine. Colgate Optic White products are now available in Walmart stores.
