We’ve reached the stink. As a Mom living in a household of all boys, I knew it was coming. I just didn’t think it would happen so soon. My oldest, who is now 9, officially needs to use deodorant. I don’t remember when I started to use deodorant when I was a kid but I know it wasn’t until I was a teen. Having my oldest need it at just 9 is a bit crazy to me. While he may need a little something extra applied after his shower, I definitely don’t want him using anything that could potentially harm him. He definitely doesn’t need anything strong by any means.
Needless to say, my oldest is beyond thrilled that he is now in that phase of life where he requires deodorant. It makes him feel older and more like Dad. I was recently approached by a company that makes a deodorant just for kids. Talk about perfect timing! They sent us a couple samples to try out and as soon as they arrived my oldest got really excited. The packaging is cute! And we both liked the scent of it. It smells fresh without being too overbearing. What is unique about Fresh Kidz Deodorant is that it contains no aluminum, no parabens, and no alcohol. And as a Mom, I really appreciate this.
When I was looking for deodorant for my oldest before trying Fresh Kidz, I was having a hard time finding anything on the market that ticked all the boxes on my must-have list. I love the story of how Fresh Kidz came about. Fresh Kidz premiered in the UK and it’s just now making it’s way over to the States. So you may start seeing this product on the shelves at a local store near you very soon. Fresh Kidz contains natural ingredients in a roll-on formula easy for little hands to use. Fresh Kids is specifically designed for kids 8 year of age or older and was designed with younger skin in mind. Fresh Kidz currently comes in two roll-ons, one for boys and one for girls for around $4.99.
In a word, my oldest LOVES his Fresh Kidz deodorant because it is specially just for him. He is more than eager to put it on without me even having to tell him. Fresh Kidz natural formula works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria for up to 24-hours of protection. Currently, Fresh Kidz can be found at stores like Meijer, (select) Whole Foods, Giant, Stop & Shop, and Amazon.com but should be available at other retailers nationwide soon. Fresh Kidz by Keep It Kind has quickly become a must-have in our household.
What deodorant do your kids use? At what age did they start using deodorant?
Disclosure: I was gifted with samples of Fresh Kidz by Keep It Kind for my son to try out for himself. As always, opinions are my own.
